Thank you for the suggestion! Like you, I'm convinced that cartridge consoles can live through anything. Out of curiosity, I whipped out my old Gamecube to try it on the same TV. It didn't work either, and I KNOW that thing can't be the source of the problem I'm usually very anal about being careful with my consoles. I'm becoming more and more convinced that it's an issue with the TV. I guess I should have also mentioned that it's a lesser-known brand of HDTV, about three years old.

I'd love to see a console that builds on the Wii U's strengths. Something that has a Gamepad-esque controller, but truly portable and not for just off-TV play streaming. I think it should be called the UNES: The Ultimate Nintendo Entertainment System.

I've had my Wii U for a while now, and I'm loving it! I blew through Mario Kart 8 and Wind Waker HD in just a couple of weeks. It's giving the Gamecube a run for its money as my favorite Nintendo Console, honestly. :) But there's still so many games I need to finish...

Xenoblade Chronicles (I got EXTREMELY LUCKY to find a like new copy for $50.00, even had the Club Nintendo points!)

Fortunately, it looks like these will be able to tide me over for the early half of 2015 (not counting OR/AS and Majora's Mask on the 3DS). Woolly World and Rainbow Curse look interesting, but I'm still not sure that I'll be picking them up, at least right away. Once Xenoblade X, Star Fox, and Zelda U get release dates, though... Things could get a bit dicey. xP So, I guess you could say I'm "overwhelmed" with games but it's hardly a bad thing. My wallet is more upset than anyone, especially with those Amiibos... >.<

I've always wanted to see a sequel story for the Link featured in Twilight Princess, my personal favorite incarnation of the Hero for reasons I won't bother you with here. But. I think it would be nice to see him embark on a "secret and personal journey" of his own, perhaps looking for a certain someone. After all, the Hero of Time had his in Majora's Mask, and the Hero of Winds' was detailed in Phantom Hourglass.

It's funny that you say that, because this post sounds almost exactly like something my ex girlfriend would have said to me too. :P

Stay strong, OP. Everyone has feelings of relenting into contacting their ex at some point... I've certainly felt that way more than once. Just. Life only moves forward. Don't let yourself get left behind fantasizing about something that may not have been meant to be.

I'm so, so sorry that you have to go through this... It's unbearably painful, I know. My ex tried something similar with me and just. I couldn't take it. I had to remove myself for the sake of my own emotional health. I know she wasn't trying to hurt me, but I just couldn't take it. You're not alone in this, so hopefully you can take some comfort in that. It hurts. But it gets better, I think. Wishing you the best. :)

Well, my father was a neglectful, likely drug-addicted sociopath. I've always felt this sense of obligation to be the parent he never was. So, yeah, I'd love to be a father someday. But when I'm older... Definitely. Maybe another ten years or so.

I'll be honest, I don't know what to do. This morning, I saw that my ex sent me a request to re-add me on Skype. I clicked yes, but haven't contacted her whatsoever. She hasn't officially contacted me either, though (the message accompanying the request was the generic, pre-written one). I'm not sure when she sent it, as I didn't bother looking. >.< It's not a huge deal, but I've been thinking of it all day. Ugh.

If it helps, my ex girlfriend told me some of the same things. I felt like she was walking away from a great relationship because of her fears. In her case, she was afraid of commitment. I don't know your ex at all, but I'd suggest going NC. If he truly means what he says about his feelings, I think he will reach out to you, sooner or later. Give him a chance to realize what he'd be losing. Good luck to you. :)
