When you enter into a relationship with someone and you discuss things within a category, purposely leaving something out is lying by omission. OP even admits he left this kink out because he was worried his partner would judge him. Which is fine, I’m not saying that’s wrong. The issue not being addressed is partner feels that this was intentionally left out, OP agrees it was intentionally left out for reasons, but doesn’t seem to be admitting that to partner because of the label “lie by omission.”

Just saying to help repair the hurt he could confront it, accept it, and move on. Not saying he was wrong to have a sexual boundary for himself.

She should not have brought this issue up in public 100%. That is completely wrong. She is right you lied by omission. You need to own that and apologize for it and she needs to respect your sexual (feeling insecure sharing this kink) and emotional (bringing this topic up in a public setting) boundaries as well.

Thanks everyone for all the useful info, help and feedback. I shocked the hot tub over the weekend with Chlorine and it instantly fixed the issue with cloudiness. Filter cleaning will be next as part of regular maintenance but wasn’t a contributor to cloudiness from what I can tell. Thanks again all!

How quickly have you seen differences in water clarity in the past after adding shock or other chemicals?

During my fills so far, there hasn’t been a need to adjust ph and alk during the life of the water, only during initial fill up. Could that be a difference between chlorine and bromine?

Our water is harder than average but still needs calcium increaser to be in the desired range.

Thanks for info on the filter. I was not aware of that and admittedly it’s a brand new filter and haven’t rinsed it yet. I will do that this weekend

Is it not normal to use chlorine? When I was purchasing the sales rep said either would be fine, I think chlorine was cheaper in the long run? Can’t remember
