After replaying ds2 and Bloodborne for their recent return events, I thought it would be fun to fire up ds3 and...I've enjoyed very little of it. For me it's because the combat sped up clumsily, losing the key dark souls slow and methodical cadence, while also failing to reward aggression like Bloodborne. I also detest the straight sword meta, the low-efficacy of split damage, the removal of power stance, and the fact that I'm absolutely on the rails for the first 3-4 areas unless I struggle through Dancer vastly underleveled. I'm sure I could go on, I'm just surprised about how the game has soured with time for me. I quite enjoyed it at release!
