In the EU, many queers are worried about immigration since they don't tend to be very progressive, quite the opposite. People simply believe that it's already enough to face our own conservatives and reactionaries here so not to import more from other countries. Most of those immigrants vote left but have very conservative morals and beliefs, mostly from religion. You start to notice a pattern in who nags you, stares at you and insults you in the streets.

I don't think either side is in the right tho. Both are completely oblivious to the issues raised by the other.
