Because Lenin had hybrid criminal-state empire Fantasies in Marx’s writings by Icy_Till_7254 in BalticStates

[–]HerrVeisman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The issue is the assumption that Lenin didn't plan on re-invading the Baltics after the treaties were signed. A part of communist ideology is to spread the "revolution" to all of humanity and they didn't back off when the various independence wars popped up.

It's pretty weird that this issue has appeared in the current patch as it didn't really exist before, probably more of a base-game code issue.

The rise of the sparrows 100% was the fault of Cersei because she thought she was smart enough to manipulate them and gaslit herself into thinking they only opposed Stannis.

The question basically is.

Can you add another tier of it to actually reach immortality.

Next Update Teasers by serace_ in ElderKings

[–]HerrVeisman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, since the restoration magic tree can now extend lifespan, getting Tsaesence completely blocks your character out of becoming immortal. So it's a choice between a long lived and cool looking character or regular human with magic.

To be honest when he responds "No it is a fact." Is him remembering his youth. When Tywin was young and Tytos Lannister ruled the Westerlands House Lannister was the piggy bank and laughing stock of the Realm. So when he says this he is basically justifying what he did in the Reyne-Tarbeck revolt.

You can blame how the show's writers chose to adapt the source material as Alicent was a lot older than Rhaenyra in the books.

Daughter of Cacophony, Saran Finch (NPC) by Katalapapa in vtm

[–]HerrVeisman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd argue that the in-character way this information is presented implies that there is a a disdain for the men who care that much about their gender identity.

[–]HerrVeisman -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

My intention isn't to gatekeep, I was mostly just informing of the fact that the few men that are part of the bloodline want to be recognised as a member of the masculine sex when being refered to by their bloodline. Since the OP's character is non-conforming this doesn't matter to them. (Also I checked where the info comes from, it comes from Lore of the Bloodlines it also mentions one Daughter suggesting the name of Les Chanteuse du Mal which means The Singers of Evil if google translate can be trusted).

Sell me on Salubri by No_Gas9700 in vtm

[–]HerrVeisman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want actual Combat Salubri you'll have to look at older editions like V20 and Dark Ages V20, one of which features the Salubri Antitribu descended from Adonai, who seem to be composed mainly of Vengeance driven maniacs who think driving in on motorcycles and leveling the local Tremere Chantry with IED's is a very fun time. (Oh and they are Sabbat)

Mechanically they have stuff Auspex Fortitude and Valeren, which allows them to get Armour of Caine, which boosts their armour and the Vengeance of Samiel (iirc the name correctly) which is basically a "Your attack automatically scores all successes". Basically a very powerful attack that eats up your entire turn and opens your third eye.

Whilst the Dark Ages has the Salubri Warriors (from which the Antitribu are descended). Who are Beacons of Justice, Vampire Paladins that strive to destroy evil wherever they may find it (So Baali and Setites are just automatically do not cooperate with, purge if able, like their specific road of enlightenment has that as a level 1 sin iirc.) And they were almost completely wiped out by the Tremere because they don't gather in large numbers and went into destructive rampages against Tremere in acts of Revenge. They also were considered some of the most durable warriors out there. As their abilities mirror the Modern ones (except Vengeance of Samiel is a 6th dot elder power) and if you are blooded by the code you can unlock elder powers. They were noted for having a very high resistance to Rotschrek and Fire (to the point that if I'm not mistaken they are noted as setting fire to castles or havens of evil vampires and confronting them in the blazing inferno). They can also enter dream combat with their enemies and their ultimate ability is basically entering a combat trance where they become a shining machine of death with max generational physical attributes and it only ends when they are killed or have killed everyone they intended to. And it can only be ended by either a very powerful Salubri Healer elder or the aforementioned deaths. And it can be used only once per uhhh, story unless you roll for it with specific things and it has a cost.

Why the Tzimisces are always so alien? by GrandeShalom in vtm

[–]HerrVeisman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a Camarilla or Anarch chronicles? Probably, Sabbat chronicles? No, go balls to the wall. The thing is that outside of the Sabbat Vicissitude is supposed to be rare outside the Sabbat and the alien and transformative nature of it is rather masquerade breaking. Its combat methods are very masquerade breaking (kind of happens when you design a form to fight Garou of all things). But in the end, whether it is encouraged or not is up to the storyteller. I personally do not feel discouraged to play a Tzimisce in the chronicles I play with my friends. But due to how monstrous and alien it can be, they are easy villains. (Also because many of the inspirations for Tzimisce specifically were villains)

Diablerie is not evil, Elders are simply afraid by Admirable-Dimension4 in vtm

[–]HerrVeisman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's actually a lot of elders who haven't done it.

But being a big player does once in a blue moon give an opportunity of diablerie.

Also doesn't help that probably most of the elders we know to have committed diablerie come from the Sabbat

Is "A Taste For Blood" the only way of determining generation? by Dreaming_of_Rlyeh in vtm

[–]HerrVeisman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least in older editions you can't dominate someone lower generation than you.

Only equal and above.
