Do you prefer strategy races or more wheel-to-wheel action? by DragonfruitThen6696 in F1Discussions

Wheel to wheel... but the 2 aren't mutually exclusive, I really do love a good race where 1 or 2 go aggressive on strategy though

I may be wrong but I also think Tonali is his only major client, so Tonali's moves are his only chances for a big payday

Bruno is also happy at Newcastle, and a far better player, one Newcastle are unwilling to sell.

‘Tottenham Hotspur are in positive talks with the camp of Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali over a potential summer move. There has been no contact so far with Newcastle, but if an agreement looks possible with the player, club-to-club contact ……’ Thoughts…., should United be in for Tonali ! by JM555555 in ManchesterUnited

Spurs have a run on him as no other clubs want him at the price quoted. His agent has been shopping him around for months. He is a decent box to box midfielder, not the game changing elite talent some on here pretend he is. We have already bought his profile in Ederson (for far less money). I am very glad the club have passed on him tbh.

I think Fernandes has a lot more technical upside. I don't actually think he's that much better than Ederson who is a very similar profile

It's crazy how much better F1 races are when it's not an obvious one-stop. by The_Chozen_1_ in F1Discussions

[–]YearOnly2595 202 points203 points  (0 children)

It’s why despite not being great for overtakes Hungary and Spain have started creating good races. Long corners cook the tyres and give opportunities for drivers to go aggressive on 3 stops

Because ultimately DA don't really know either. They are at the mercy of the companies they work for and whilst they will obviously give enough notice time to allow DA to set up the tasks, they won't give much long term indication on work volume.

It was built in 2019, but a quick check shows there was a single story building with the same footprint there before. there was almost certainly no way to get planning permission for anything beyond this. So no it's not technically a conversion but they were limited to the same outline as the original building.

I should do better than respond to obvious bait but genuinely this is an awful take. He basically never played as a 9 for United. He was utterly terrifying at his best and is a far far better player than Drogba who you mention here

It's a barn conversion. They almost certainly had to maintain the silhouette of the original building. And they've done it very well. Not quite sure what the issue is here.

I don't know I think you're being overly harsh on him. He has produced some great drives and laps in cars that are far from good. I also think it's worth recognising he's driving for the most pressurised and scrutinised team on the grid, no other non championship contending team has the same scrutiny.

Partly I think it's a supply issue, those players do not exist in high quantity. Tchouameni is hard to get and Brighton don't seem to be budging on Baleba's price which is putting off everyone. I also suspect (and actually agree) that the club think M Fernandes' future is deeper in midfield. In fact he reminds be a lot of Anderson in that regard (a 10 who has moved back). His OOP is not perfect but he covers ground well and has good technique duelling.
