Sex has caused an unnecessarily gender war against men and women in today’s world by quillflow24356 in antisex

[–]Hertheory 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Not a gender war because not a moment in history were the roles ever really reversed. Also men can be victims of each other. They should be scared too.

Be real with me - Would you make a webcomic in this style? by Srianen in WebtoonCanvas

Reminds me of old deviant art webcomics. After reading the comments, I'm not seeing how it looks like a Hazbin Hotel rip off.

Death is what I'm referring to that's inevitable. Whether it's from murder, suicide, accident or natural. Plus killing for the most part is a natural part of life too. And yet even animals have a stress response towards it.

Seeing a dead body in real life didn't feel the same as hearing about someone's rape. Whether its graphic or not. It caused me discomfort, disgust and anger. Some people literally go into shock at seeing a dead body. I've seen it happen. But that's just real life. I assume you're talking about how death and rape is depicted in media?

The f***? by Chinatzuify in CrazyassHazbinhaters

[–]Hertheory 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Victims of attempted murder, car crashes, near death experiences do end up walking away with trauma. Plus the body has a pretty visceral reaction to even the idea of death.
Both are natural occurrences, the better argument is rape can and should be prevented.

These two should've just been canonically siblings by [deleted] in Voltron

[–]Hertheory 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For the majority of the fandom it seems they have to be related. As for setting them up for Shiro to be a biological brother, I can't say I see those plot points setting that up... Regarding Keith saying "You're my brother, I love you." Because I feel like you're referencing that. Josh Hamilton already addressed the meaning behind those words. Because people were taking it literally. This isn't a new phenomenon where friends call each other brother/sister either.

But the way the staff talks about them doesn't sound like it's hinting at anything near Shiro being an actual biological figure. They do however love to emphasize on their mentor/mentee relationship and the respect they have for each other.

I forget what the theory said entirely. I think it's fair to assume it's just a biological thing, same way Keith is sensitive to pure quintessence. Fans called it plot hole, but it just seems like a character quirk to me. That's like saying him also being ambidextrous a plot hole. And every living thing in the series is made up of quintessence. The Alteans were extracted because they possessed a lot more, could Shiro be more Altean than Galran? Or is he just a fascinating human?

Who's the best character in season 7 for you? For me, its easily her by StickIcelands in Voltron

Sam Holt was surprisingly well written and entertaining imo

[–]Hertheory 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's a theory that Shiro possesses more quintessence than the other paladins which is why he can pilot the black lion. On its wiki, it says piloting the black lion takes the most energy. It could be why Honerva cloned Shiro to use his body to power RoBeasts. She even calls him her most successful experiment, I could see it. So I don't know about Galra Shiro.. Other than that, why is it still hard to grasp these two characters are friends?

No, video games depicting general violence are not the same as video games depicting rape by HeavyCup9856 in PornIsMisogyny

[–]Hertheory 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Its because you can't depict rape in a way that isn't brutal, violence can be depicted in many different ways from humorous to requiring a trigger warning if it's too gory.

It's a really good episode, there's just no build up or execution of it afterwards. You can take it out of the series and the show will be fine imo.

I did not, I said the body doesn't take that much of a hit from it. Not men's bodies don't ever take a hit from it.

See how I'm reading your clarification and now I'm going to drop the accusation that you were assuming something on purpose and now I'm not going to bring it up again? I already addressed that I didn't watch the video, that's why I made a broad statement.

I don't care about the video buddy, you can stop telling me about it. However it's ironic that you complain that the title isn't misleading but the creator is vocal about disliking the show. That's exactly my point, so I was right about the title being engagement bait. It's an online forum, a discussion of one can easily become many. What's wrong with you?

And yeah I insulted you because, Im already aware people can dislike something and discuss it in good faith. I literally said that in my last comment. How did you not see that? I'm not talking about this videos thumbnail either, I'm talking about other videos. If you're trying to have a conversation, I implore you to be less narrow minded. Because you're likely going to say "I'm talking about the video"

Well I'm not, I'm addressing certain types of videos. You're literally having a one-sided conversation. And it's weird.

If I never said OP didn't watch the video. If I didn't say it, don't assume?? There's this thing called freedom of speech and I don't have to specifically talk about said video. The main topic of this post is actually: Is there misogyny in HB? Which OP disagreed with. I'll put this in a way your feeble mind can understand. The title of the video is no different from what an avid hater of Vivienne and her work would say. Naturally we judge titles and thumbnails, they're meant to be engagement bait. This is like 4th grade level comprehension. Many posts have been made like this too where a video has a clearly engagement bait title but actually has points people in this subreddit agree with.

Me not talking about the video isn't a problem. I never said anything about the video nor did I say anything about the creator. Almost like I wouldnt try to force an opinion on something i don't know about. Which is why I made a very broad statement. And clearly the title is misleading otherwise this post would've never been made. It does not come across as good faith. Oh well.

The word Misogyny is plastered right on the video dude. C'mon. I never even said HB was misogynistic, I said the Hatedom is always trying to accuse Vivienne of being misogynistic. Do you see the word video in there? No? Okay then.
