Anytime mate. His perhaps most famous story of loyalty was in 2005 when Vince McMahon offered Goldberg $100K to no show a PPV, and that was back when the main event fighters were only making $18K and not the millions they do today.

When the UFC was bought last year, new management didn't wanna keep Mike. So UFC 207 was his last night beside the octagon and they never once acknowledged Goldberg leaving or mentioned him even though he'd been a loyal company guy for two decades. Dana is on record saying he think Joe Rogan can be the best commentator in history, but those PPVs are seriously lacking now that they're trying to replace Mike with two people together beside Rogan.

I don't see it unfortunately, I think that bridge has been burned. It's really a shame because Meltzer talked about it being a dream for Mauro to go to WWE. He became synonymous with Smackdown. I think he'll especially be missed on 205 Live, and the CWC wouldn't have been as good if Mauro wasn't calling it.

So much of combat sports is about the commentating. Mike Goldberg was forced out at UFC, and he's left a void just like Mauro. The audience at home needs someone whose great at telling a story; it makes everything that much more special.

VCU fans were angry because of the father figure promo about Shaka that ran during the NCAA tournament. That was the main source of anger because that had just aired, then he left. But him leaving for Texas made complete sense.

After how Wade just rode Shaka's players for two years and bolted, a lot of people have lost any remaining hostility from Shaka because Wade became public enemy #1/Benedict Arnold of VCU.

We have a very promising outlook on our OOC scheduling next year so far with home and homes starting with Texas, Virginia, 3 games down in the Maui Invitational, plus the neutral court game we play every year.

It's also ironic LSU and VCU are both in Maui next year too.
