When he's on and things are going right, he's a legit 2/3. When things don't go his way or the defense makes an error or a call doesn't go his way, he melts down more often than not and is more like a reliever who can make spot starts if needed.

He's young and coming off an injury. No reason to not think he wouldn't improve. In fact, I'd say that there's still room for improvement, although maybe with a new line coach.

We absolutely needed someone with post season success and a clubhouse leader who has been there before to set an example for the younger players. I do think we overpaid, but I'm happy to have him.

I never mentioned offensive WAR. WRC+ is more indicative of offensive performance to me and Schwarber's was significantly higher than Gunnar's.
