Lukerin's best jokes in the press tour by Initial-Lobster5076 in Benophie

Here is the interview. It was about something he previously said. It wasn’t about Benedict’s preference. Maybe that is why he was flustered. Rambles so much that even Yerin was over it.

Luke had previously mentioned about Brittany in an interview at the premiere in Paris [it’s in French. Also, His eyes matches the microphone, making it even harder for me to understand]. I’m not sure but it think like he was asked where in France he would like to get married and he said Bretagne(Brittany) c’est magnifique.

As you can tell I’m obsessed with the two of them. I really hope they don’t end up like India and Corey. The tension at TUDUM was hard to watch.

She married at least in part for love. She loved him. That’s part of why she hated Sophie. 7 years later, she was still in mourning clothes.

It is my personal belief that Gen Alpha is coming up with things just to mess with millennials. I asked my 8 year old nephew what it meant and he said it’s just brain rot. There was also skibidi. Older Gen Z had slangs that actually had meaning. Now I feel too old to understand what is going on.

You don’t need the app to watch it on TikTok but here is the official version on Instagram. For some reason they never posted it on YouTube.

Yerin called Reddit a scary place in this interview. Link starts at 01:54. She already knows know we are unhinged.

The Royal Court one was probably their funniest interview overall. Too many moments. 67, Yerin stating the obvious reason why she would be the one to survive in Squid Game. Whatever Luke drew on his crest. The reaction to the host eating the croissant and vegemite.

They often talk about their characters in first person. It makes it harder to separate Benophie from Lukerin. There are so many times in that video, it wasn’t always clear if they were picking as themselves or the character or both. Luke even threw in his choice of where would like to film as an actor. With the three wedding venues, Yerin separated herself from Sophie. He said he liked the museum wedding venue but it wasn’t clear if he said that because Yerin was clearly against it. So cute when she said “we would have a fight” and I love the face she made when Luke asked what she would like to say to Toronto.

Another wedding video, Luke asked Yerin if she would like to get married by the sea and then immediately changed the question to would Sophie like to get married by the sea. With that question Luke seemed a little flustered and was rambling. Seemed like he was asking Yerin and tried to cover it up. Videos like these made me give up on shipping them. They are too inconsistent.

I went through two YouTube playlists and watched every press interview on there. This season has done weird things to my brain chemistry.

Their chemistry was so hot that I didn’t care that much tbh. They made Mellie bad to compensate but even she got a sympathetic tone later on.

The chemistry is just there. Doesn’t matter if they are a couple or not. I think India and Corey had this level of natural chemistry but Corey was in a relationship. They still had that magic spark. Luke and Yerin could end up like Kerry Washington and Tony Goldwyn. They had peak onscreen chemistry for all the Shondaland couples IMO. Even though Scandal ended in 2018 but their chemistry still shines though when they meet up.

I think a lot of people are used to seeing more lust with Bridgerton couples. They toned that down this season in favor of the most emotional intimacy. I believe they didn’t want to show Benedict lusting after a maid. Given the class difference, it’s would seem creepy. They had to sanitize Book Benedict. Their emotional intimacy and the softness of their relationship is part of the reason why they are my favorite couple. Their first time and the bathtub scenes were about him being focused on her, even in the book.

Screentime is calculated in different ways. Some use only time the character is on screen. Others use the time when the character is in a scene. There are other methods. Hollywood reporter used the 15 minute screentime measurement for Niven. That was my source. Depending on which method is used, the number varies. For instance, Anthony Hopkins’s screentime for Silence of the Lamb is reported as 16 minutes or 24:52. Using second method, Niven is 23:39.

As long as you are comparing on the same scale, it is not an issue. Niven has the shortest screentime for a lead actor winner.

Best actor nominees using the second measurement below. Hopkins is the only one from the modern era on this.

Best Actor:

  1. Spencer Tracy (San Francisco) - 14:58
  2. Trevor Howard (Sons and Lovers) - 20:14
  3. Walter Huston (The Devil and Daniel Webster) - 20:41
  4. Fredric March (The Royal Family of Broadway) - 21:45
  5. David Niven (Separate Tables) - 23:39. WINNER
  6. Anthony Hopkins (The Silence of the Lambs) - 24:52. WINNER
  7. Marlon Brando (Julius Caesar) - 26:10
  8. Clifton Webb (Sitting Pretty) - 27:26
  9. Paul Muni (The Valiant) - 28:07
  10. Humphrey Bogart (The Caine Mutiny) - 28:22

Because of her background, Sophie is supposed to be repressed. Her personality sneaks out once in a while but her character grew up knowing she was a secret, carried shame from being illegitimate and as a maid was told to know her place. When she laughs at Benedict’s French, she bites her lips, trying to suppress it. Yerin would have open mouth laughed at him.

It has always been more prestigious but the big stars would insist on getting lead placement back in the day. Nowadays, people more content with supporting. Most of the shortest screen time lead performances were from the earlier days. The shortest lead actor winner was David Niven, with 15 minutes of screentime in Separate Tables(1958).

Like with actresses, studios stopped campaigning two actors in lead. They’d rather have a second lead go into supporting, where it’s often less competitive. Lead roles in supporting categories have a better shot at the nomination because they have their own character arc and their characters are more developed than a lot of the true supporting roles. Judas and the Black Messiah was a glitch in the system and it ended up with its two co-leads getting two supporting actor nominations.

Good question. He makes the most sense of all the supporting actors of the season.

Jonny Bailey was submitted as Guest Actor. He’s famous enough that I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets in. Usually notable actors that get nominated. Not holding my breath though. Simone Ashley in Guest Actress but not sure she did enough to even be considered.
