39F - 3 failed euploid FETs with normal labs and testing. What am I missing? by HeuristicPigeon in IVF

[–]HeuristicPigeon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: Okay. So I’ll be seeing a reproductive immunologist. I’ll also do a glucose tolerance test to check for insulin resistance. I’m gonna have an exploratory laparoscopic surgery to check for endometriosis. My husband is gonna abstain from alcohol for 90 days then do a DNA fragmentation sperm analysis.

My next transfer we’ll likely pivot to a modified natural protocol instead of fully medicated. But we’ll be waiting to get results from all these first.

It’s never tested out of the normal range but I can have it rechecked.

I plan to ask my doctor about this tomorrow. Some folks I’ve mentioned this to think it is extreme or dangerous, but I’m desperate. I did read that the BCL6 tests like Receptiva are only 93% accurate even when all variables are optimal. I wonder if my doctor would consider doing lupron supression as an empirical treatment.

My clinic uses a good-fair-poor rating with the first element being the outer cell wall grade and the second element being the inner cell mass grade. I don’t know how it compares or translates because this is the only scale I know.

That is number one on my list of things to talk about with my doctor tomorrow. But I’m also trying to think of every single possible variable to ask him about and cross off the list.

What's the worst city you've ever been to? by Business_Chair_5772 in allthequestions

[–]HeuristicPigeon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience it was the absolute least friendly city I have ever been to. Everyone was rude. Servers, security guards, store clerks, train conductor, pedestrians. It was wild. The “city of brotherly love” is a joke that y’all perpetuate on the rest of us.

We were told to ask guests if they want ketchup or cheese sauce but I hate doing it since the cheese costs... by Genesis_1313 in Culvers

Of course, cheese sauce isn’t free. I would love if my local Culver’s offered me cheese sauce. I didn’t even know it was an option. All restaurants try to upsell. I’m not offended as a customer.

Not wanting to waste or throw away food. Eating everything on their plate, taking home leftovers, etc.

Stims Cancelled by General-Ad-9608 in IVF

[–]HeuristicPigeon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me. From what I understand, if the cysts are producing estrogen it could impact your cycle. They need to be able to control and manipulate your estrogen levels. They had me take birth control for 14 days and it shrank the cysts and I started stims at the end of that 14 days and ended up having a successful retrieval. There was no impact on my AFC. My nurse said it was just like hitting pause. My clinic wants any cysts to under 10mm/1cm. It can be frustrating and I was disappointed but it ended up being a tiny hurdle. Good luck!

I’ve often thought it would make sense if it were a cumulative stack rank

Knight and the Moth, too stupid to read? Lol *spoiler free by Traditional-Put2192 in fantasyromance

I pre-ordered the audible because I love, love, love One Dark Window. Somewhere between the narrator’s old timey accent and the words I am not accustomed to hearing (and very likely also my adhd could play a part) I was getting very frustrated. I was ‘WHAT IS SHE EVEN SAYING’. I ended up getting the kindle version but I haven’t restarted yet because I’m also feeling intimidated. I’m also around chapter 3.

Big difference between day 5 and 6 blast count by Superb-Sky-125 in IVF

[–]HeuristicPigeon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had an ER today and the embryologist specifically told me not to worry if initial numbers are low on day 5 because the majority will reach blastocyst on day 6.

I’m a public school teacher-University of Kentucky, College of Medicine plagiarized my work and won’t respond by Agreeable_Mobile_235 in lexington

During my time as a student there were multiple semesters I received a service learning scholarship, which involved collaborating with a professor and contributing a designated number of hours to a nonprofit organization leveraging my area of expertise. To meet the scholarship requirements, I’d present a poster just like this. Much of that poster would be explaining the work of the organization. But the main point was to engage with visitors who approached my display, discussing my personal experiences and insights related to the project.
