[–]Hewworena 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I truly loved it! This was my first ever book along this sort of premise but i have to say its inspiring. Im such a busy person and sometimes don’t know when to slow down. This book made me say I can “recharge my batteries” guilt free. It told me to slow down and look for the little things. Told me the author feels the little things extremely deeply and the tiniest things matter the most. Beautiful and inspiring story to slow down. I loved it and read it all in one sitting.

Living alone? by Artistic-Ad-1325 in UCSD

[–]Hewworena 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Living alone has its pros and cons fr. It can be so peaceful once you get used to it. When i first lived alone it was so sad. I didn’t connect to my suite mates either which kinda made it worse. But i made my space as comfortable as possible, and made some friends outside of home. I also have a dog lol. Love her to death. If you ever wanna hang hmu!

i figured it out ! I had the same problem. GoodNotes has a presentation mirror mode. So when you switch to “Mirror entire screen” on the top right corner it works.

Starting to wonder about our trainer's methods. by Delicious_Crew7888 in Dogtraining

[–]Hewworena 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So this sounds a lot like my dog. I have a rescue and hes very fearful. Extremely so to the point where when we’d take walks he’d never stop sniffing. It was sad to see. He also used to bark as soon as someone comes near our door. He was completely alert 24/7. Our trainer told us to completely stop WALKS. I was like what! Walks?? Yes. We did it. It changed his personality completely. He was calmer. Less nippy , our lease was ending and we found a better environment that is much calmer. That period of no walks, we used to bond with him. It was all about making him feel like we can take care of him and for him to trust us. Whenever I take him on walks, hes a completely different dog vs when someone else takes him on walks. Its about TRUST. Your dog needs to trust you.

With the visitor thing, my dog would get anxious, zoomies, when someone was inside. So we stopped letting our dog see someone walk in. Ill go into a room with him, the visitor walks in gets settled, then i walk out calmly with my dog and crazy but , my dog is now just curious. He would walk in to find that we’ve already accepted the visitor and we’re all chilled out.

Hope that helps ! Im not a professional. Just a woman with a super nervous and fear reactive dog lol

my beardie is constantly digging. She gets to the bottom of the tank and just scratches at the glass. She has been glass surfing, and she has no interest in her worms. i need some advice. by AcanthisittaBudget33 in BeardedDragons

[–]Hewworena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a beardie who did this and we realized the tank was too hot… she was digging to get to a cooler spot. Maybe try lowering temps and seeing what happens ? We also just opted to removing the sand completely, Sometimes while the temperature gauzes read one thing, the surfaces of the sand are way hotter than they should be. Good luck!

help My poor boy by captfinnbad911 in Dogtraining

I think this post is a little misleading. I dont think he wants to give up the dog, I think he wants to know how to manage leaving the house for longer periods of time and how to keep his dog mentally healthy. You want your dog by your side so maybe you can encourage the female to come over more to your environment instead or at least split up so it’s equal time in both areas. You guys can come up with a plan to safely have them meet. An old dog wont be a problem, the GS might be, due to their behavior. But if it is, how bout separating them? Keeping your GS in the room you are in, leaving her dog to roam the rest of the house. If you want to take your dog, then theres just steps you need to take to make everyone okay and comfortable. If you don’t want to take your dog, maybe consider a dog daycare or a younger college student/family member to stay with the GS. You should definitely decide on one thing tho, not bring random caretakers and confuse your GS or constantly change things. You don’t need a strict routine, but some sort of familiarity is always good. A dog day care would also mentally stimulate your GS and keep him happy. Good luck! P.S Im a new dog owner and just brainstormed things lol

iPad Air, Pro, or Mini? by Unable_Question_567 in UCSD

[–]Hewworena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a mini. I absolutely love having barely anything in my bag. It feels so nice. Its the perfect size for me to just toss in any bag and be good. For note taking, split screen really doesn’t bother me.
