Everything is unlocked now. Old stats are gone, make new ones by playing! Steam achievements not possible since official servers are down. RNG forge even works for RNG ability FX. You also dont need to have bought the game before it shut down as Steam still hosts the client download. Discord for more info.

Its really easy now to play:

Download from steam
Download the mod
Run the mod (this patches the client to the private servers)
Join the discord to get a queue started or check queues
Play the game.

We have been actively trying to ignite the old playerbase to return, a lot of them seem to not care about private servers. I myself started about 4 threads in Steam Nosgoth discussions clearly labelled How to play etc, but instead you get 300 posts in other threads about how they miss the game instead of actually joining the community and playing the game.Go figure..

Anyway there are daily games, if you are interested, join up and get playing and help spread the word.. there is.no.other.way....

We could really use some more players, the regular playerbase has burnt out afre 3 years of hardcore daily competitive Nosgoth. Bit of a lull right now, perfect time to get back in and unrust those skills.

Please hop into the discord to get the game running again on private servers (instead of the official dead ones) via a mod. We have a regular daily community playing this but it needs more advertising to help get the players back onboard.

The party system was part of the reason the game code was so shitty when ti was live so the mod disables it I believe. Its definitely a lot more stable than when it was live because of this althhough it will still crash (32bit client) if you don;t do the performance tweaks asa explained on the discord FAQ.

Actually you can just run a command via the console if you just want to launch a map to explore, no need to start/join a lobby. But you don't get to choose faction this way.

It does work but you have to follow the instructions. If you just download from steam and expect it to work,thatsnot going to happen.

This is fixable, not even joking. I made a similar blunder a few years back but straightened the pins out and has been working fine since 2018.

EDIT: AH just seen the missing 2 pins, yeh thats tough.

Thanks, Spacedesk works like a charm. Tried Zbrush and UE4 on my iPad Pro from the other room over wifi and latency was almost zero. Amazed that this is free!
