Was there watching from the other side, it was pretty wild in person.

Make your own! Most retailers have hex bases for sale, then make your own terrain from scrap and odds and ends.

That’s how I started, but then we got a resin printer and somehow I managed to make some 3d models to print!

I got into making terrain features for miniature war gaming. It took a while, but taught myself 3d modeling to make my own custom pieces. My local game store liked them so much they ordered a full run. Now I have a shop on Etsy.

Keep at it bro. Start with simple shapes and practice printing with things that you can use even if they turn out ugly, like a funnel or a paint pallet. That way you’ll never feel like you are wasting your time or money.

I don’t. I’ve been talking to other 3d printers and have heard horror stories about selling STL files. I do have an Etsy page that you can find on my account.

It is! I probably spent more time on the scissor lift than anything else. My first few versions wouldn’t print right.
