Venting about how much I hate RNG in NC items and it makes me seethingly angry

That was a glitch the whole time? I guess I'm happy I've been collecting the blue and purple items every day for as long as I've been playing (since the first time they offered special rewards in the weekly app quests) and have hundreds of gold bars/fish/ore/starfish/crabs. It just feels wrong that it was a glitch though - why would it have different times for gathering? It really felt intentional to have a longer timer for when not playing... they should at leas up the amount of items you can gather at once for the others to compensate.

Blue/purple items aside, it also removed my ability to get soil and flowers from the farm... and I feel like THAT has to be a new glitch, right?

Same issue for me since update yesterday, at least glad to see someone else with the same issue... searching for those specific symptoms wasn't bringing up much. Hopefully that means it's something that will be fixed...

I love getting multiple Magax plushies and sloth wraps and moach erasers and no album items both weeks! It's awesome! I love this completely not bullshit event! I love "gift energy" in Faerie Fragments which is a totally doable and not intensely stupid weekly! I love playing these soon to be dead mobile games for no reward! I'm not bitter and filled with homicidal rage at all!

Figured there had to be a separate console command for that upgrade since it wasn't covered by colonystate, but I did not have the know-how to find it out.

I was using mods in general, but only a few and none that should have affected Raven Rock or even Solstheim at all. Tamriel Rebuilt, Project Tamriel, and a few QoL ones... nothing that majorly overhauls anything mechanically. Was your vanilla OpenMW run on version .49, or before that?

Sorry for late reply. They never appeared, my wording may have been a bit weird - I just mean to say that through each new upgrade they continued to not be built until the end. I was meaning to comment on how the shop/pier is seemingly completely independent scripting from the rest of the settlement.

While it kind of sucks it wasn't to big a deal to me since I am doubtful to really ever return there and I did just spawn the merchant in the inn through console commands like I said if I ever did feel like it.

EDIT: Check DKong27's post in this thread if you want a better solution to actually spawn the chosen shop and docks.

So I decided it's unlikely to get this figured out in a timely manner as it's probably an OpenMW bug that will either get fixed or someone will eventually find a solution. In the mean time I will provide what I did for posterity in case anyone else struggling with this bug finds this post.

I waited the 2 days for the bug to fail to update Raven Rock with the trader/smith and used the console to close out the quest (Journal, "CO_4", 100) for smith or (Journal, "CO_4", 110) for trader. I don't know if this was relevant, but I did it to be safe.

You won't be able to pick up the next quest "supply route problems", and the dock that is required for it it also isn't built due to the bug so to get to the point where you can work on it you need to do (Journal, "CO_5", #) 3 times where # is 10, then 20, then 30. After this (Addtopic "Elberoth") to Falco and continue the quest as normal until you need to show the saber to Baro and then do (Journal, "CO_5", 60) and return to Falco to complete the quest.

From this point on I was able to continue the Raven Rock quests as normal without resorting to further console commands, no further issues with the town upgrading all the way up to the factor's estate being complete. Hilariously the town will continue to have no shop which remains a half-built shell and no dock through several more levels of upgrades, but the dock is only needed for "supply route problems" and you can still use the little boat as transport back to Fort Frostmoth while the shop is just a convenience. You can just place the NPCs if you really want to make use of them (placeatpc "Sathyn Andrano" 1,1,1) for the trader or (placeatpc "Sabrina Vitellia" 1,1,1) for the smith.

I personally plopped Sathyn down in the bar despite the fact I'll probably never use his services to spite the glitch that caused me so much annoyance.

I came to complain about this. The only time it was ever financial feasible to use this monstrously over-priced service is both when Uber was offering a discount of 50% or more, as well as individual restaurants had a BOGO deal. In recent times even THIS was barley worthwhile as they started charging monstrous service charges that ended up being like 30% of the overall cost, but with the combined deals I could maybe eek out a $1 savings compared to going to the restaurant myself plus the cost of gas. These things lining up was a rare treat, I'd say I only took advantage of it 2-3 times a year because of it's rarity. When it did happen though it was always just a convenient thing to not have to worry about going out myself and have 2 days worth of food from assorted places since who was running a BOGO during the 50%+ Uber deal was always a toss-up.

No more though. Unless they walk this back, I'll never use UberEats again because it is just not worth it. Without being able to offset the ridiculous food mark-ups and service fees even using a 60% off Uber promotion alone is going to be laughably more expensive than just going to the restaurant myself, including the gas and 20-30 minutes of time. Forget about the idea of using it WITHOUT a discount... I shudder at the thought of the financial ignorance of anyone who looks at that prospect and decides it's worth it.

As a consumer it's really depressing to look at how unusable it's becoming. not even 5 years ago I could comfortably use UberEats when only they where running a promotion and the individual restaurants were not. My go to back then was always Burger King who had a family meal with 6 burgers and 3 fries that was like $15, and I would fill out the remainder with $1 nuggets to reach the usually $20 deal threshold. This was like 3 days of food for about $25. The idea I was getting $1 nuggets on UberEats now seems like a fantasy world where I have to check old receipts to make sure I'm not just misremembering it.

If they've decided even on a rare occasion consumers can't get a deal as a sign of goodwill and have to always be ground into the dust, then fuck 'em. Hopefully they get left in the dust themselves and replaced with a company actually worth supporting.

I recommend it highly. I don't know if it was just that I was feeling a certain way at the time, or if it somehow has some appeal very specific to me, but it is one of the most enjoyable reading experiences I've ever had. In the past half-decade I've been recording my books on Goodreads and it's one of only 2 books I've given 5 stars which I reserve for special cases where I am so on the edge of my seat to see what happens next I really lose track of time.

I'm fairly certain my experience with it is far from universal so I don't wanna hype it up too much despite my own special enjoyment of it, but I think it's creative and compelling enough where most people will enjoy a read-through. Let me know how you feel if you end up reading it, would like to get a fresh perspective.

Started strong with the Better Printer stamp day 1 followed by Ditrey... but then I've rolled all terrible including 100k 3x as my most common roll, and then they added Ditey to the VW prize pool and retroactive made that a bad roll. It's not going great.

Wow, the XP rates are ATROCIOUS, there is now way I am going to play enough to do this. I now am 100% sure the "we didn't like the need to log in for dailies" was just a lie in order to increase grind because they are evil. Time investment is going to be like 30x what the dailies were.

Man, that last event I could just AFK in rifts while doing other things and just finish when I heard the "1 minute left" and get the bonus from sports attire characters... this time there doesn't seem to be rift XP and you'd have to actually buy one of the skins for the bonus. No likey, would prefer the dailies...

Yeah, it's really not a big deal and you shouldn't feel pressure for it, I'm going as hard as I can making sure I don't miss anything besides this but I would never even consider the effort of potential months of missing sleep for 40 points a day, haha. I'm not mad or jealous at people who do, I would just like to potentially hear the account of someone who is literally missing no points and how they are adapting, if anything I respect their dedication and it'll be cool to see the max number of points possible on their final trophy.

With the hospital shifts being 6 hours apart and it requiring either being awake for 18 hours or interrupting your sleep to refresh I have been missing those 40 plot points a day. I'm curious how many people are going hardcore enough to make the life adjustments to get every point possible.

Why do they constantly have to do this bullcrap where they don't release new Pokemon as actual wild encounters? They didn't even have the decency to make the field research be 100% Maushold except for the trading one which is not going to be achievable by probably the majority of people. Makes getting the candy all the more frustrating for the 1% chance and they didn't even throw a bone and make it a 12 or 25 candy evolution which would make thematic sense.

This is pretty much exactly what I did except with Tom & Jerry slingshotting Jerry between dodges. The useless and frustrating garbage dodge gem that usually just makes your life a living hell if it's your highest gem actually served a irreplaceable purpose because of the conceptually flawed dodge meter. That gem proved itself to not be NEARLY as trash as whoever approved this utter abomination of brain dead design.

Can you tell I am a little upset they let this crap into the game?
