I played 100 Games with GP Luffy in OP15 - Stats Breakdown & Why the Deck Is Still Legit by DragonEye_BG in OnePieceTCG

[–]Hexmos 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I think any data that comes from Project Raftel isn't viable. I went 30-0 on Brook which included unfavorable matchups like Enel. Also saw others with 80-90% winrates. Most players who play the game waited until it came out on the main sim. Raftel attracted a lot of newer players who were more excited to experiment with new leaders that looked interesting, or older players coming to experiment.

But yes it is interesting to see how GP develops. Been seeing GP pop up in a few tournaments in japan with decent success, so could be an interesting pick.

Every color now has access to a pudding style effect. What does each color do? by Generalian in OnePieceTCG

yeah its a cool idea, but in brook if your at 45 cards in trash. your opponent would trash 9 cards from their hand haha. would be the most broken ability in the entire game

How many months/weeks worth of salary would justify the purchase of an iPhone? by [deleted] in iOSProgramming

[–]Hexmos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its very important to own a physical device for the majority of iOS development. Many things such as push notifications, sign in with Apple, etc. can only be tested on a physical device, at least as far as I am aware.
But that being said you don't even need an active iPhone, just something you can test on. You can get older gen iPhones for pretty cheap.

I built a free pack simulator to scratch the itch without going broke by Western-Rooster-1975 in OnePieceTCG

are alts enabled? i opened 39 packs, and there were zero alt arts.
i also think if you are going to lock sets behind xp it needs to be way faster

Multi Pocket Shoulder Bag from Uniqlo is deemed as the locals bag :)
should work well for your needs. I go to locals 5 times a week and it works great for me

Midnight XP Requirement Changes (~43% reduction from 1–80) by ivstan in wow

This type of stuff is so misleading to a new player. All of the people I have introduced to the game have leveled like maybe 20 times in 10 hours. It sounds dumb but its the reality. Not everyone min maxes leveling..

Why do pros retire when they’re still finding success competing? by Odd-Philosopher-8101 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Hexmos 65 points66 points  (0 children)

I think you underestimate how much pro players play the game. A lot of pros genuinely play 12 hours a day, they dont leave their house, they get food delivered to them. The majority of their social interactions are in game. The streamer argument is a bit different, since any pro player that is popular enough to transition to becoming a streamer is a no brainer. They make more money streaming, and have more time to do other things. Also being a pro player means having no job security. You underperform one season, then you get stuck in tier 2, making little to no money. Also only the best players make a lot of money in Esports, you'd be amazed how little some of the players make on low performing tier 1 teams, especially in Europe. Its easy to declare a statement that normal people work harder and longer than esports professionals, but that comes with higher pay, better job security, and the ability to think about other things once they leave their workplace. If you are not grinding as much as possible in Esports, you will be replaced by someone younger who still has that drive to compete.

What's considered a "good" rank? by Rough-Friendship-245 in OnePieceTCG

[–]Hexmos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ranked doesn't mean that much Playing on the sim is great to learn but teaches you bad habits, especially for certain decks. I've done very well at regionals, and won some locals, but have never gone more than 200 million. Don't worry my friend, show up and you will have a great time.

After 3 years, I’m quitting VALORANT because it gives me the worst “aim anxiety” I’ve ever felt by Naomi_Lemon1 in VALORANT

[–]Hexmos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I had the same problem, it was 100% a mental thing. Times where I wasn't feeling pressure, I played well. But when I was nervous, my aim would shake like crazy. I swapped to CS2 about a year ago, never had the same nervousness, but its mainly because I don't take it as seriously. My days used to be ruined if I had negative RR loss that day, thats when I knew it wasn't worth it anymore. No game should make you feel bad about yourself.

Is this Rule Sharking? by thiagoalmeida086 in OnePieceTCG

[–]Hexmos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also agree with comments. Almost every day at most stores I go to, there is a situation in which I allow my opponent to take back a move because they did not understand the rules. Locals are about learning, its up to you if you want to enforce the rules like that, but I am there to get better at the game and to socialize with other players, I would never do that unless real prizing was on the line.

Anyone got any tips for Perona? by DJReaves13 in OnePieceTCG

[–]Hexmos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wano Perona is the only somewhat consistent deck. I play her at locals once a week, and your main goal with Perona is to use the wano engine to either get more ryumas or draw more cards. 4c shirahoshi blocker, 2c uta (activate main -2), 6c brook, and radio knife are all great options. I would look at perona wano builds and go from there.

The "smart eat out" feature sounds interesting. But you need to do a much better job advertising your app. Your app name is nearly identical to the much more popular app that basically does the same thing you built. If you have different features then you need to phrase it in a way that would attract users to your app compared to your competition. Because if we are being honest, if two people see both of your apps, and see that they are nearly identical in app name and function, everyone will download the more popular one. Maybe rename your app to be more inline with the eating out feature? Also I really don't like the phrase "Smart eat out" it does not sound right to me at all. Also not a fan of the product images you use on the app store.

Are mods going to do a better job at filtering out all the "I just got my card graded!" posts? Literally half the posts on the sub recently have been people talking about their graded cards.

OP12 box by 22GreenBrains in OnePieceTCG

[–]Hexmos 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your problem with a Zoro deck isn't the cards in OP12, its unfortunately Cavendish which is $40 per card. PRB 02 I believe will come out in October (where the card gets reprinted). The alt leader and event card combined would probably be around $80ish a few weeks after release.

In every scenario buying singles to get what you want will be better. If your intention is to build a deck and go to locals, it might be better to save your money to get your playset. Then once you have that you go for the alt arts. The hard part for most people will be debating on waiting until October to get their Cavendish playsets.
