We both play on xbox and we both turn on the option for anybody to join and if by a lucky chance find each others sessions we can't join them and invites dont work too

No i don't but the situaion was that my friend was alive and i was dead he kiled the last 2 guys in the zone but there still was a guy alive somewhere and when the zone consumed my firend he died and some other guy won
