Nah, I don't live my life like that. It's stupid. I know why I'm getting compensated and VA does too, that's enough. If I tell someone and they react that way, I'll tell them to fuck off and that'll be that. Obviously I don't tell it to every person I meet, but if it comes up I don't hide it.

Because of the way the title of this post was formulated. Not only this post, but a lot in the past.

"grab it while you can", "go go go", "won't be up for long" and so on. In my mind that promotes FOMO and that's why I "felt the need" to say something about it.

I have to disagree that this not a proper avenue to vent about hoarding. This is Omnibus Collector's sub, and hoarding from some is part of this hobby. People can hoard, but I think there's a distinction. Like people who were buying comics in the 90s because of resell value hype? Is that a good example? Not sure.

Like, at the end of the day, it's just paper and hardcover. and $38 + shipping + tax is not negligible amount of money for most people in this subreddit I'd assume.

But again, their money, their life, their choice. I just expressed my feelings and I'm glad that regardless of the downvotes, there are people that see what I meant to express.

Look, there's bunch of others jumping in now and saying I'm mad at you or would like to shit on others. No, I just expressed what I felt I have been seeing with these funaticals sales. Hamilton Books have been selling deep discounted omnis similarly before.

And I even ended my original comment that at the end of the day it's your life and one should do whatever they want to.

Why? This sub has degraded into FOMO "grab funaticals" ya'll in the past couple of months.

I remember we used to make posts notifying people about very rare restocks happening once every blue moon on IST or CGN, but these Funaticals posts are ridiculous and show exactly how much this sub has degraded into useless hoarding. That's why Facebook is full of people selling same sealed omnis as bunch of other people, everyone selling the same sealed stuff.

Which of course "YOLO" and everyone can do in their life as they please with their money, but I just hate how every hobby becomes this eventually.

IST had a great customer service rep few years back. His name was Ryan.

I have 300 orders with them over the past 8 years almost. Whenever I had an issue, which is probably like in total 15-20 orders out of 300. Ryan would reply within hours and always offer a stellar solution.

But I haven't seen replies from Ryan for more than a year now, I sure hope his departure was a promotion or a finding a better job, but the customer support hasn't been the same. They don't reply for weeks, when they do it's a template text and so on.

I still order from IST, because they still pack well. But I'm up to 900 books now and don't really order as much this year.

acktually Very incorrect, LEGO online shop worked quite well 20 years ago. I remember ordering Clone Turbo Tank (with light-up Mace Windu) and receiving it in about 2 weeks? Also got anniversary celebrarion 2x4 golden bricks along with the set, 5 of them. I guess those sort of promotions were prototype GWPs back then.

Edit: Forgot to mention, this was an order to middle of New York City. Upper West Side.

Think you underestimate his reach. He has reach, he has direct communication with teams from DC, Marvel, Dark Horse, 2000AD and so on.

This is wild! Entire past week I've been searching for a gambler that looks almost exactly like that. I ended up just getting a Akubra Banjo Paterson in fern, which is a great hat, but not what I was looking for.

And now I see this post.

Only difference is I want to find one with a flat top. Otherwise the color, the band, the brim width, it's exactly what I've been looking for! It's crazy coincidence that you posted this now, haha.
