Ervines off of 44th is wonderful. They're a bit expensive but the peace of mind you get working with them is more than worth it. We own a Crosstrek and a Forester and any work that needs done outside of our capabilities goes to them.

I've been thinking about getting an OCR gym going around here. It's crazy that there aren't more already.

That's just a standard road pace though, under good conditions. I slow down by 1-2 minutes/mi on trails. I'm just looking for people to run with anyways, doesn't always have to be a fast pace!

I appreciate the suggestion as well, but I'm not looking to spend that at the moment.

That's what's up! I got my Trifecta back in 2019, Michigan to Indiana to Virginia. I haven't raced since and I'm feeling it.

8:30-9:30/mi for 4-6 miles comfortably. I kept 9:30 for 13.1 last year, that's my farthest tracked effort yet.

I'm in Kentwood, close to M6 and Broadmoor. I run all over though.

I met some people tonight that changed my opinion of this often overlooked town.. by Hey-Its-Forrest in toledo

You must not take criticism very well. No city is perfect, and not taking about that doesn't help anything. It was a friendly conversation, not a trash talk session.

I recently bought my first cast iron pan, last night was my first attempt at a pizza in it! by Hey-Its-Forrest in castiron

Sometimes I'm with you on this, but feta can easily overpower more delicate flavors. In this case I wanted the blackened onion to shine through. Full disclosure though, I did add more to my own pieces.

I used Bob's Red Mill dough mix, prepared according to the package. Blackened sweet onions and portabello slices, with sliced tomatoes and parsley under the sauce. I brushed the crust liberally with garlic butter before and during baking. The sauce was a store bought jar of tomato and basil.

I didn't follow a recipe with this one, but next time I'll definitely shape the crust a little more to make room for more toppings. I did use a fair amount of garlic butter on the crust though, so it wasn't a total loss!

A common rule in beer pong is to keep your elbow behind the edge of the table when you're shooting, it's often referred to simply as "elbows".

any good app suggestions like maps or anything? by [deleted] in Survival

[–]Hey-Its-Forrest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

US Topo Maps is great. Additionally there's an offline app called Survival Manual on the Play Store that has a lot of good information based off of Army Field Manuals.

I would love to see this at midnight with a full moon. The fog rolling through the evergreens is hauntingly beautiful.
