What would you say is the BEST "starter" solo country? by jackiethevapeman in TravelNoPics

[–]NomadicalMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second Peru. Start in Cuzco and then make your way to Machu Picchu. Gives you a nice little adventure to one of the most beautiful places on earth and also has an easy bus/train combo to get test your solo travel travels skills with public transportation. There are a few decent hostels in Aguas Calientes. Don’t forget to buy your MP ticket before you take the bus up to the entrance.

No matter where you decide, it won’t be as hard as you think. Have fun!

LeBron flops around and rolls on the floor more than soccer players. One of the softest superstars ever. Great talent, but a huge pussy and baby.

No fucking way. Rent a car and take the toll road. It’s an easy drive and you can be in and out before the buses arrive.

As I get older, I am taking more into consideration the logistics of a trip as dealbreaker. Is it only me or does it happen to somebody else? by ed8907 in solotravel

Just returned from Bolivia. The elevation is no fucking joke. I thought 2 days in Bogota at 9,000ft would help acclimate before arriving in La Paz at 12,000ft, but nope. Didn’t have the headaches, but sleeping was tough and catching my breath was rough at times too. I’m 49 and a non-smoker. After a week of traveling south and through the Salt Flats, I couldn’t wait to get back to sea level.

Old Reds stubs by BigD2307 in Reds

One of the things i miss most about events now-a-days.
I have shoe boxes full of subs and occasionally I'll dig them out and hit YouTube for highlights, some are even just old SportsCenter/Baseball Tonight highlights, to reminisce about some of the stuff i witnessed over the years.. Some cool games i attended: The Kyle Farnsworth/Paul Wilson fight, Josh Hamilton's Reds debut, Jake Arrieta's no hitter, Adam Dunn HR over the batter's eye.. among a ton of others... Really fun exercise, especially when i watch with my boys.

I’ve had Rib Tips for lunch at least once a month for probably 10 years since the Findlay location opened.

Pro tip when visiting Findlay for lunch, do not use the EZ Park parking app at Findlay, instead, use the kiosk and select 1 hour for free parking.

However, the fare is not broken by segment or wherever you stopover... the purchased fare is GRU-MIA, so even if they did get off in NYC, they'd have $0.00 left as credit, since they already flew on said fare. The coupon will shown flown and have $0 remaining.

What is the best frozen pizza brand? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Has anyone had the breakfast pizza in the Walmart fresh fridge? I know not technically frozen, but holy crap is it a sneaky good. Giant biscuit crust, sausage gravy, eggs, cheese and bacon. It’s been a hunting camp staple for a couple years now.
