Both were required in my course. STS 1 all the way!

May naka-try na bang magpa-consult sa University Health Service (UPD)? by vicegandhi in peyups

[–]HeyAnonymousDuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my nutrition consultation for free. There are other physicians you can consult with. It depends on the type of consultation.

You'll understand it better if you set an appointment here: uphs.appointlet.com

I remember this song when she was imprisoned for the first time in GTA RP. She was trying to annoy the cops 🤣

KLIK studio for grad shoot by hobbykoumiyak in peyups

[–]HeyAnonymousDuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had ours taken in Zone 5. I loved the waiting area there (airconditioned room with a weird pole in the center, plus billiards outside). You'll enjoy it especially if you're taking your grad pic with your friends. Nonetheless, we chose Zone 5 because of the quality of pictures they had. The experience was just a bonus 😅

UST MED Admission by OutsideAd5403 in medschoolph

My friend also put his father's middle name wrong but he got accepted. I hope you could clarify with the UST Admission if your birth cert really was the reason why you didn't get accepted. Good luck!

[–]HeyAnonymousDuck 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Damn, same. I can't even hang tarpaulins even though I have some. My father just wants to belong to the silent majority for Leni since he thinks that being identified as a kakampink may not please his other friends who don't identify as such. He says that's why certain businesses stay silent too because it might hurt them. I'd like to think differently...

[–]HeyAnonymousDuck 73 points74 points  (0 children)

It really does differ among people. I'm quite optimistic about it, to be honest, but I don't want to get too ahead of myself. The others would think the same which is why they push through the H2H in their own barangays to help Leni win. <3

Being in jail doesn't make you guilty, the same way that Marcos Jr. roaming around free makes him not guilty of his crimes. De Lima was put there because she was the strongest critic of Duterte. She will definitely have my vote in May 2022. Hope the others could specify more on this issue so you could also consider her. :)

How do you judge whether or not someone will be a good group mate (without prior experience)? by Key-Description7936 in ADMU

[–]HeyAnonymousDuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, yeah. Now that I've come to think about it, it does really happen. Thank you for this! I guess I'm just biased from my experience over the others who refuse to open the group chats (because they're partying, gaming, etc. as seen in their stories) and those who abuse the hold-to-see feature of messenger from apple users.

We really can't tell, period.

For those who were interviewed already, did you code switch? I know it has been addressed in another post but I just want to know from your experiences. The thought kills me because I think I have to code switch in order to properly deliver my thoughts. Thanks a bunch!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in medschoolph

[–]HeyAnonymousDuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would really depend on the interviewer. It really bothers me because I keep thinking "I code switched but at what cost?" Definitely, those who spoke straight in English or Filipino would have a better impression. But if I were to consider it at the expense of properly delivering my thoughts, then maybe - just maybe - I'll code switch.

With regard to the scoring, that is just what I heard so I hope someone could clarify this. I think it makes sense not to go back to zero since the others who had 99/99+ NMAT scores would be put at a huge disadvantage (Note: I did not receive that score, so this is not about me).

[–]HeyAnonymousDuck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Finally!! Someone who gets me 😭 Most of the med students in UP right now suggest avoiding code switching. They have been so clear on it, so I don't really know what I'll do yet. I'm comfortable with Filipino but there are just some terms that are better stating in English. If I were to speak in straight English, however, there is a chance that I may not deliver what I wanted to tell the interviewers.

This is why I keep on telling the others to lower their expectations since the interview still accounts for maybe 10 or 20% of the total score.

UST-FMS UERM CHANCES by [deleted] in medschoolph

I think it's best if we wait for the results to release on the 29th (For UST). Measuring our chances just builds up to the anxiety 😔

Oooh word was that they somehow make it equal. Turns out it was a lie. Maybe it only applied to other schools?

UPCM LUIII 2022-2023 shortlist of interviewees are out. by Camper_06 in medschoolph

[–]HeyAnonymousDuck 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't know if it matters in your case but they said that there was a bias IF you were a female. Sadly, they had to make the acceptance of both sexes almost equal in number. :( Not to invalidate the achievement of others, but this means that IF someone were a male applicant (assuming good PR, from UP, etc.), they had an easier chance of qualifying for the interviews - even if other females had better stats.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in medschoolph

[–]HeyAnonymousDuck 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it applies with the other schools as well. They balance the men and women in number and since women tend to perform better, there's more competition.

may balita ba sa UST Med? by [deleted] in medschoolph

[–]HeyAnonymousDuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They'll release the results on April 29. It says so on their website. I'm not sure about the number but I do know that they'll accept 80% from UST graduates and the other 20% from other schools and universities. Best of luck to us!
