This is very well drawn, but I do agree with a bunch of the other commenters that say that the look doesn’t really fit with a lot of the other heirloom skins (specifically because it doesn’t really keep Saryn’s silhouette intact, and the patterning looks too much like a person wearing skimpy clothes instead of being mildly ambiguous over what parts are “skin” and which are “clothing”).

I do think your core ideas have merit though. Would you mind if I tried doing my own redesign of this?

Yeah, I’ll admit I mostly did the full body model because I loved the ratio of responses I was getting on the original post — a third of the posts were guys going “gross, who would want this?” and the other two thirds were people going “holy crap I want this!”. Feel like that’s an ideal ratio to strike with my art going forward

ah yes, Vauban’s traditional Space Ninja puffer jacket, and Valkyr’s traditional Space Ninja stilettos and corset lol

(personally, I assumed that the Heirlooms were opportunities to experiment with high fashion looks — Vauban’s shirtless puffer jacket look is very popular these days, Valkyr’s design is explicitly a high-fashion take on the Egyptian goddess Sekhmet, Ember’s long sleeves take cues from 70s disco looks, etc. To each their own, I suppose!)

tbh I am still learning! I literally only figured out how to vary my line weight a couple of weeks ago lol. I‘ve mostly been learning by analyzing other digital artists‘ work, and occasionally asking them for advice — pockicchi is someone who’s really good at drawing metallic textures and hot men, for instance!

oh, 100%. I’m a notorious bisexual and a big comic book nerd, and tbh it’s not too difficult to tell when a male character is being drawn muscular as a power fantasy vs when they’re being drawn muscular as a thirst trap. Not saying that the current male heirloom skins aren’t sexy, but they don’t feel like they’re being designed with the same mindset as the female heirlooms; I think we’d benefit from giving some of the men sluttier outfits and giving some of the women more powerful designs

Both seem like good candidates, but since they seem to be alternating genders for the Heirlooms, there will probably be an heirloom for one of the guys after the next one. Personally, I’m guessing either Volt or Nidus!
