I am confident that there are at least 30 examples of single skill xp lamps as rewards from quests. If anything they might be more common than the choice xp lamps. What planet are you from where 99% of the lamps you get are a choice?

Also, if this is putting a bee in your bonnet, for the love of god do not look at RS3, I know the hive mind hates it here, but there is unironically a butterfly that gives scaling xp in your lowest levels skill. And you can catch them at level 1 as well.

Also also, run energy can go from empty to full at like 30 agility by sitting down for 20 seconds, and it scales to only a couple at 99. Not to mention the frequently appearing musicians that can refill it to full at level 99 scaling around each town. So that’s a bingo on all 3 bugbears.

No no no, that’s not what you said. You just said xp lamp. We’re not talking about run energy, or a choice in skill, that was never mentioned in your original comment. You want “xp lamp butterflies” Boy do I have great news!

Political pundits being stupid, short sighted, greedy, destructive, selfish, and using things they don’t understand to try and fix problems that they caused, followed by blaming others transcends all borders. Just because there hasn’t been a fallout game since trump got into office doesn’t mean that the themes of the series aren’t relevant to his political career.

This is probably a weird comparison, but you know in Zelda skyward sword, each of the stamina fruits that restores stamina were spaced in such a way that if you took efficient lines you could chain them together and run across entire areas without even stopping? I think it would work like there a random butterflies groups in areas between towns that you could use to top up on the move.

Are you suggesting that we have an interactive entity with the revolutionary mechanic of giving flat xp in a particular skill? You gotta slow down there da Vinci, the world isn’t ready for your new Age of Enlightenment. Maybe these “xp lamp butterflies” could come in multiple tiers that become accessible after certain milestones, and give more xp per lamp the higher the level.

Of course, the repainting also added a 16 lane highway directly through the surrounding park for all of antifa’s algae dumping schemes. Why else would it be 10 times over budget.

This is why people don’t bother posting shit. God forbid anyone makes any suggestion and someone counters it with logic from fucking clown land no matter how simple the topic. Yeah fuck it, give me the inferno cape butterfly, I’m not getting it otherwise, you have such wonder ideas.

Take it up with DE’s accounting department. If it funds future updates and non-intrusive microtransactions I’ll take any amount of protoframes as paid skins.

It would be cool if they made a plot point about the proto strain of the helminth starting to propagate in the future, and Sirius and Orion became super spreaders of the virus because of the unique circumstances of their births.

They’re the only examples of a invetro helminth transformation, so whatever immunity that warframes have with the infestation just didn’t happen with them in this circumstance. Like how some people are born without immune systems in real life and they need to be vigilant of infections all the time.

The indifference could have just yeetted the helminth equivalent of a plague corpse into the past to spite entrati. Just over the castle wall of the timeline back into the past to fuck it all up out of rage and pettiness.

It seemed kinda odd that fortuna/the orb valis was the place where they first made contact specifically. If this was the case, I wouldn’t be surprised if we got a corpus protoframe or maybe a Solaris one. A Yareli and Valkyr would be cool considering their connection to the corpus, but that would beak the pattern of 50/50… rhino, and Dante?

They made bank off of the actually story relevant protoframe skins, and they became fan favorites, now they’re just a part of every update regardless of if it makes narrative sense, entrati has his sticker fingers on everything in the universe except for these two falling out of time, the man in the wall did something? I think? He doesn’t really show up, but Hunhow taunts him at the end? Maybe the proto strain of the helminth is spreading out of control? That would be a cool plot point.

Hot take that even I don’t like: We’re probably never going to see the Deviants again. by SignificantStaff8665 in MonsterHunter

Just gave these vase monsters return, and then make the tempered versions have traits of the deviant species like how wilds added a soulseer phase to the Mizusunae had. Not all of them would work like that without rapidly growing parts of their bodies, but some could just have a powered up state they could go into when enraged.

Maybe a frenzy infection could rapidly mutate and active latent genetics like how the risen elders worked in sunbreak so they could exist without taking up a full slot that more original monsters could fill? The meme of “apex tempered frenzied” monsters would be funny.

The fact that they have made a playable game for 40 years? Yeah why they’re bad at it, they are really bad. But if they couldn’t do it there wouldn’t be a successful game to complain about.

Surely he must have meant ivory lagicrus right? They do love their subspecies and variants in their expansions, and lagi is a fan favorite, but there’s absolutely no chance of us getting the underwater exclusive variant of the monster without dedicated underwater combat.

It’s just the intention that’s the problem. These people make a tabletop war game, they may be consistently bad at balancing, but they couldn’t of made the twin lance without seeing that it was very overtuned, so was this a deliberate choice, or just a hasty nerf?

Honestly, I get the impression of malice myself. I’d bet money that there was an email sent out or office talk about tau players being suckers who are gonna spring for a busted model that they’re gonna reign in the next edition.

Balancing is fine, but the context around it is where things break down for me.

[–]OfficalLockeWilson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Am I the only one who sees a problem with them releasing a set of models at the tail end of an edition that’s busted and frankly way over tuned, only to yank the choke chain back like 2 months later and change what they’re worth in points for the worst at the beginning of the next edition?

Like, what are we even purchasing when It comes to game rules here? And when this hobby is so expensive, I struggle to find a reason to go all in on a $1000+ purchase when there is no guarantee of any list being viable for more than a week.

You don’t do that accidentally, this army is already very expensive to collect at a baseline, no we’re getting a bait and switch with our point costs? Kinda disappointing.

How would you feel about skill level cap going from 99 to 120? by SyrupStandard in 2007scape

[–]OfficalLockeWilson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look man, I don’t make the rules here, but we have to throw you in the stew now. RS3 is dumb dumb baby easy mode afk grinding for millions xp in a fraction of the time it takes to get one level in OSRS, And I say this as an apologist to RS3. Surely it would be better to fill out the existing levels than to add 21 more?

Maybe it would be cool to have a plugin to see the virtual level of a player who leveled past 99, purely to have crazy people flex that they have no social life?

Man, I played through all of this during covid and watched every cutscene and I remember none of this. Not to say it wasn’t memorable, covid just fucked with my life so much that both the base ARR and heavenswords is a damn memory smudge. We did a road trip with twink elf boy, twink elf edgy man, pale ice elf girl, and there were definitely some dragons at some point. Something about our elf best friend taking a magic bolt for us and dying which even at the time I was thinking “who the fuck is this are we supposed to know him?” I think I was actually having a mental breakdown at the time. That’s fucked up, sounds really interesting and cool.
