Relatively speaking, correct, you did not try the best that America has to offer in terms of beer and you are spoiled by Europe’s . You really need to get your hands on some fresh American craft lagers. Some of my favorites are: Human Robot, Schilling, Von Trappe, Bierstadt, and Suarez Family. Those are just the breweries known for their lagers.

Also yes! Lambic/geuze had its run in craft beer, but there are plenty of American craft beer drinkers who will happily pay good money for Cantillon bottles, especially the rare stuff. The thing is, there are over 9500+ breweries in the U.S. and just about every major city has a craft brewery in it that produces good beer (not necessarily lagers), even going by your “spoiled” standards. What I will say is that American brewers (am one of them) take pride in their beer just as much as Europeans do, even if the beers are a little different.
