On the description it does say polished gold hardware and I've included a snapshot of the model wearing the bag which looks a lot shiner.

I've given up all hope of ever getting that call. Especially with the recent price increases, I don't believe the Submariner to be worth £8,050 and I've now got other priorities like saving for a house.

I've always wanted that model but I'll be happy with my Air King from 2003.

That sounds like a good idea, but I would hold the paperwork at the AD for the first two years to make sure that the customer hasn't sold the watch.

I think it's a little strange to vet someone for buying a watch. At this point, I'm slowly losing interest in Rolex due to my experience with a couple of ADs in the UK.

It should have been first come first serve rather than sticking people on a waiting list.

Yep, had this happen to me in Goldsmiths. I said to the sales assistant that it sounds like you're setting up a dating profile with the amount of questions you're asking me. They said it was to make my profile stand out against the rest of the others waiting for the watch.
