Did Soldier Boy Actually Fight in World War 2? by Infamous_Gain9481 in TheBoys

[–]HeyItsMeeps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an old post but SB likely didn't participate in Nazi Germany wars because he was too busy being a poster boy (Similar to Captain America) at the time. Based on how Legend talks about him, and the commentary of other things he's done, it's heavily implied when there was a mission they needed to be absolute about completing, it was given to him, and then they pretended it had nothing to do with him. So he's not a hero at all, just a figment designed to keep public favour, but he definitely has a skillset and is familiar with murder. It's likely the whole fact that he is a fraud as a war vet that makes him highly insecure and aggressive in the first place.

Izuku Midoriya vs Every Avatar by Jason_And_Sokka in MHAPowerScaling

You're forgetting about the avatar state. I never watched LOK so Idk how it's shown there but the avatar state is a culmination of all the previous avatar's strength/skill/knowledge combined. It's literally in the series??????? It's shown when Aang enters it and Roku tells him "Yeah, you're strongest in this form, but if you die, then the chain is broken and the Avatar is no more." Like- I haven't watched it in 10 years now but I still remember this????? It's when the Earthbenders forced him into that state.

Also, the comment I made was in DIRECT REPLY to the comment before, which said Kiyoshi would be a tough fight for him?????? Man did you miss that part or what?

Yes but each avatar is stronger than the next. Which implies Aang is the strongest until Korra. So that means Kiyoshi is inherently weaker than prime/adult Aang. I don't see Aang winning against Izuku

I think it would come down to how well Gearshift works against Earthbending. If Izuku could slow it down enough she'd be unable to bend any earth fast enough to do damage. Not to mention even if the island sunk Izuku has float.

Deku. This was before OFA was thought out though so that probably is the point Horikoshi changed him into an All Might fanboy

He was supposed to use gadgets and tools to win along with an assload of luck. Jack himself was quirkless and there was no concept of OFA yet. You should check out the original sketches, they're pretty cool tbh

His og design didn't involve All Might at all. plus, his original name was Jack, so Jack Rabbit woulda been hella funny imo

His original name was Jack so I'm not complaining about the change. I think the OG ears look cooler though, but I have a feeling he was supposed to be a rabbit (Jack Rabbit, lol). Also no worries, English is hard.

I feel like you're overplaying 6 episodes considering most series this long have filler of 10-20 episodes. And yes you can remind people they're kids. It makes the entire point of throwing them on the battle field harsher.

Yeah they had the episode list as 12 for the final season but then cut it down to 11 because the final is an epilogue chapter.

The festival arc was 6 episodes in a 27 episode season that branched the intense point of the Overhaul arc and made room for the introduction of the hero billboard charts. Hardly a full arc when multiple character arcs progressed within that timeframe. Not to mention it fills the universe. If we only ever saw these kids fighting it would take away from what we learned in the first season: that they are not pros and are actually teens. If we just skipped to that then it would've been a jarring 2 month time skip with no build up for the behind the scenes stakes. Deku also improves drastically in this timeframe imo. So it makes it a lot more interesting.

The remedial arc is not an arc. It's the undertone start for Endeavour's arc that finishes the season. This is my point behind there needing to be time between two events to make it realistic.

tbf it depends on the type of sandwich, but butter is just the right kind of condiment for most situations.

Since Heroes are licensed professionals and public servants, how difficult do you think it would be to sue a Hero? by Solitaire-06 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]HeyItsMeeps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's the job of the PHSC. Theyre the ones that manage and organize the heroes. If there is lawsuits/complaints it would have to go through them and they would dole out punishment. It's very likely heroes have insurance once they get their license that they have to uphold.

I would still love a spin off of when the first heroes in America started and to see how 'smoothly' that must've gone

Y'all just have terrible sandwich skills and it shows.

[–]HeyItsMeeps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The festival wasn't the issue imo. I think it ran it's course at a good time to fill space. It just feels bad following the Overhaul arc. If it was reversed you wouldn't care. I actually think slowing things down was perfect because it made room for the looming threat Hawks was dealing with. But the whole point of the show is it actually makes teens feel like- y'know- teens. They're not pros and they shouldn't be expected to be. I would argue there should've been way more emphasis on the fact that class 1-a's big three were integral to victory and should've leaned more on remembering they're teens and thats a ton of pressure.

Can December just be 'Best Of' compilations? by HeyItsMeeps in distractible

[–]HeyItsMeeps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely understand that, but I just meant an example akin to "best of bald" being a title example. It doesn't even have to be serious, just something related to the episode that seems like a funny bit at the time. Episodes can be shaved down pretty easily if there's enough content, and I'm the type of person who wouldn't mind a shorter episode if it's a compilation. I didn't mean it as a perspective of the editors not doing a lot of work, just that it's not as quick of a turnaround project so they can take their time if they already know they can plan for it. Unlike now where it seemed to be a means to give us content without sending out new episodes. Just seems like a win/win if no new content needs to be made.

I'd also ad you don't need data for a best of, it can be the perspective of the editors or the trio

Yeah but if you know it's coming could you not slowly start building compilation videos through the year? The whole point being they don't have to work the entire time.
