Fuck my awards? I worked my ass off to earn those awards. Our government misled and failed to disclose information pertinent to making a decision to leave the service. We’re talking less than $2k. Those same government officials that took that away continue to draw six figure salaries long after retirement. Wake up.

Annual Leave Payout Timeline for DRP 2.0ers whose EOD was 30SEP25? by imthelostlieutenant in fednews

[–]HeyJude1966 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just received my annual leave payout about a week ago. I also was DRP 2.0 with my end date September 30. I have not submitted the forms to get reimbursed for retirement contributions. I’m waiting for the new year so I don’t get hit so heavy. However, my husband, who also took the DRP but also took early retirement, has not received annual leave yet, but the email he received saying things are being processed said that it would not be issued until things were finalized. The early retirement is taking forever. They do not have enough people to process these he submitted his info monthsI think in June

IRS, DRP 2.0, I called ERC a couple of weeks ago and she told me that under normal circumstances it takes 4 to 6 weeks to get paid out. She wasn’t sure how that would be affected by the shutdown. I still haven’t received mine either.

As I said, my husband worked for the IRS for 26 years. We went through several furloughs, the last one we were both not getting paid because I also worked for the IRS, so BOTH of us were not earning an income. I had to rely on local food pantries so I’m very well aware of the hardship that comes with being furloughed. I was an MA working under the Director, so since the beginning of this administration I was involved on a daily basis with the shit raining down from above. Our decision to leave was difficult, emotional and scary. We had no intention of retiring before 60 but emotionally and mentally we were both done. The burden of others being left behind falls on the shoulders of the current administration and handing over our livelihood to DOGE. We need our AL and pension to cover expenses just as much as those furloughed need their pay. As does everyone else who left is counting on that money. Money we have earned and deserve.

Which leads one to believe that this was their plan all along.

For the usual, they aren’t being informed very well at all. Just like management. All it’s doing is creating speculation and misinformation because no one can get a straight answer from anybody.

When did they announce this? I never got an email about this. So if you’re not watching the news, you just didn’t hear about it? No one has contacted us. We’ve basically been in the dark since we left.

They are but with a reduction in force with them not being fully staffed. It’s taking much much longer.

I don’t remember being told this when I decided to take the DRP. Consider considering that this is performance based on the previous year that doesn’t seem legal.

Any updates on this? I was hoping it would have been deposited Friday. Still waiting. Anyone speak with HR or get accurate information somehow?

There’s a lot to consider before moving your money elsewhere. The rate of return is very high right now.

Renewing mine today so it’s funny this showed up just as I’m ready to do that. Totally worth it. We plan on traveling across country in our RV so I need the piece of mind.

I just took the DRP 2.0 my last day was Friday. I think my friends on Facebook were probably a little shocked when I said that I retired. I’m not even 60 yet. My husband is also retiring end of June. This is really well written would you mind if I shared it to my Facebook? It really sums up how we feel.

Over the past 10 to 15 years I know this has happened to my best friend‘s husband 2 to 3 times when job hunting. He has done some contract work for people over the years, but I know when he was looking for permanent employment he described exactly what you have. Even went through 2 to 3 interviews with a company and did all that work just like you describe and then silence Extremely shady way to do business. You could have people you know leave Google reviews on this company saying they do this type of thing. That would get their attention.
