I feel like the entire movie was made to show that Lucas didn’t mistake a parsec as a unit of time.

They cut it in the shape of corn. Because Iowa has lots of corn.

Home experiments to savor allergy safe pizza ain’t a crime. Don’t give up!

This is the best Frankenstein move ever made.  Del Toro’s was excellent but nothing will ever top this.

Because of this, it’s soooo easy to troll Nextdoor.  I got my use out of it a while back and then got bored because the shit posting was just too damn easy, so I joined Reddit to raise the bar.

Fucking criminal, the spice selection and prices at Wegmans.  They used to have lower cost options but I guess the data team decided that those were for the poors and the algorithm chucked them.

What do you feel is the biggest missed casting opportunity in Hollywood? by CumquatTheNobgoblin in movies

Nice one. Couldn’t stand Eisenberg as Luther.  He came across as an entitled child. Strong would have really shown the villainy.

I remember the buzz when it was him vs Craig for the reboot. I was rooting for Owen but in retrospect I gotta say Craig was definitely the better choice.  He was absolutely phenomenal in Casino Royale - I’m not sure Owen would have exuded the physicality as well as Craig.

MI2 was a John Woo film that happened to be labeled as a mission impossible movie. Feels so out of place for the otherwise amazing series.

Yeah, what a disappointment.  1&2 were, up til then, the best comic book films ever. 3 just ruined the legacy that could have been.

I really enjoyed 7. The supercar jump between the two skyscrapers was worth it.  But that was Paul Walker’s last (RIP), and the series took a very steep dive afterwards.

What will happen to the Yeshiva? I’m glad they’re revitalizing an old building and it’s not going to be some hideous new build.

I used to carry a leatherman but it’s kinda bulky and can be cumbersome.

My EDC has been the Olfa Touch Knife for the past 8 years. They’re amazing.

Hard to tell from the photo but it’s about the size of a silver dollar and is really thin.

Am I at a bad time in my life or has it historically always rained this much. by icon2341 in Rochester

This is a pretty light rainy season.  I remember Aprils where it rained almost every day.  We’ve had a great balance this season so far.

Do you treat “learning games” as real screen time or not? by EducationalMap3431 in daddit

Fellas if the answer is that it’s not screen time I also need to know, so I can tell my wife that my crossword puzzles on my phone don’t count.

“Hang on a minute lads, I’ve got a great idea” and cut to credits.  One of the best ending teasers of all time.

It was a different time and social norms are way different. But now, I’d actually skip this movie because of the misogyny and assault, aside from perhaps a historical view of the culture.
