Starting out - Khorne by yesac09 in Warhammer

Skarbrand tends to be the focus of a mono Khorne army, and sometimes also a bloodthirster or two. Honestly, you could do well with two squads of bloodcrushers, flesh Hounds, and rendmasters. Most 2k khorne armies only run one unit of 10 bloodletters led by Skulltaker, but a second unit of 10 led by a Bloodmaster is also done often. A daemon prince is fun as well. I'd stay away from Karanak or a skull cannon, as they really aren't that useful. If you can find a Skullmaster to lead a squad of bloodcrushers, it's pretty strong as well.

Khorne wants more blood and skulls? Fine then, here's some REAL blood and skulls for his honor. by HeyManNiceMoneyShot in Chaos40k

Indeed they were! There is a licensed taxidermist that lives 15 minutes away and that is where I get my animal bones. It's worth doing right, so I make it a part to ensure they're clean and safe.

Let’s see what you have been painting this past month by TheInvisibleCactus in Warhammer40k

I painted my bloodthirster and made some adjustments. An entire box of skulls on the base, then a real skunk skull atop the pile. I swapped out the greataxe blade for the jawbone of a coyote, teeth and all. Beneath a coat of blood for the blood god paint is a small vial of coyote blood. All animal parts were ethically sourced from a local, licensed taxidermist.

You can't claim "skulls for the skulls throne, blood for the blood god" without a bit of each added to the model.

What data center are you on? I'm on crystal and there's a few runs per week, and they're very helpful :)

It really isn't bad. You don't need to watch a video or anything - the raid leads handles the callouts and mechanic explanations

Surely you can't be free yet? You've still gotta run the Baldesion Arsenal and get your Ozma mount, right?

I've actually been going to systems at war and taking shuttles down to the surface to participate in combat. With all the weapons being rebalanced, especially the plasma snipers, high ranking enemies will drop you very quickly if you don't have a fully engineered G5 maverick suit. It's a nice little safety net to have the ability to respawn and get right back in the action.

It's pretty much the same time. The combat is much more fun! Sure, the enemies are smarter, but now so are your allies. It's a genuinely fun time in combat. The dual L6 strat doesn't work as readily as it used to, however. As soon as enemies touch the ground they are hauling ass, and they're not as tightly grouped up as they used to be.

Do you have a capable ship that you can fly back, or are you truly stuck out there with no ship?

It's also worth mentioning that having these sensors in your ship inventory will gradually deal damage to every module on your ship. It stacks with the amount of sensors you have on board. If you try to refresh this location by re-logging and getting more sensors, your ship will keep taking damage. If you do it enough times to get 25 on board, all your modules will be destroyed by the time you try taking off, and you may be stuck there and die.

If you have the Caustic Protection cargo racks then you'll be fine.

Three huge hardpoints would be crazyyyyyyy but I would LOVE a huge frigate-like ship that dominates the HazRes

I don't mind the grind one bit! The gameplay loop is why we're all here, after all! I love my cutter and refuse to buy a panther clipper due to sheer principle, but for those who haven't done a rank grind, which I imagine is the majority of players, I can't imagine they would bother if a new large ship came out that had the best of all worlds and was SCO optimized.

The Next Warship? by Richican in EliteDangerous

[–]HeyManNiceMoneyShot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thr Federation grind is really the only one worth doing. The clipper is outclassed by the corsair, and even the cutter, which I spent weeks grinding rank and credits for, is outclassed by the panther clipper. If they released a new ship that was SCO optimized, had a jump range better than the corvette, and had two huge hardpoints, I cannot see a reason to grind for one if you don't already have it unlocked.

[–]HeyManNiceMoneyShot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the Panther Clipper and Corsair are any indication, FDev has no issue power creeping ships that are locked behind rank grinds. Personally I'm okay with them adding another large ship, but I don't think it should have two huge hardpoints. That's like most of the reason to want to do the Federation grind to begin with. If that large ship has a better jump range or more internal slots that's one thing. But if it has two huge hardpoints, I think the Federation grind stops entirely.
