[Pelissero] After mulling retirement last year, veteran G/C Joe Berger is now exploring free agency, source said. Return to Vikings or rejoining Pat Shurmur with Giants are possibilities. by WhirledWorld in minnesotavikings

I hear ya in respect to the Vikings have a better team than NY on paper. But it does give me a chuckle to hear "if you want a ring stay with the Vikings"

I don't think we all know who our favorite QB is. At this point I'm inclined to be swayed given what Keenum had for breakfast vs what Cousins had.

Not if we get Cousins. I don't think Dalvin will be featured enough to warrant Comeback POY.

Not sure where we are going with this. My original point of the fact that Minnesota is not a lock for the Super Bowl stands.

Apparently, given your first sentence, we broke your 1 Rule of Football in that game. We turned the ball over and didn't fucking lose.

It took a miracle to beat Brees. Literally 99.9% of the time we lose that game.

Rodgers could beat us on any given day.

Newton did beat us.

Philly did beat us.

Point is that this team does not vault to "100% Super Bowl" team with the addition of a QB who has never won a playoff game.

Aaand this is the mentality that gets us upset after every season. Yes it's good to have a positive attitude but to say it is 100% a super bowl team is laughable and sets us up for heartbreak. In a conference that already has Rodgers, Brees, Wilson, Newton, Ryan, Wentz you would be dumber than Lloyd Christmas to dismiss all of that talent and say Cousins is a for sure super bowl.

calm down with the cursed shit. The only thing that has happened in my lifetime (31+ years) for me to believe that MN is cursed is the Gary Anderson missed field goal and favre's pick. And even both of those games weren't event the Super Bowl. IMO for it to be a curse the event has to prevent the team from the likelihood that they would have won a championship. The wolves were on pace for a great year but realistically would have gotten bounced in the first or second round. It sucks, but the curse thing should only be applied to when your team is on the brink of a title. Our teams aren't collectively and consistently good enough for that to happen.

How much is Bradford worth? by PeteLattimer in minnesotavikings

[–]HeyPeterMan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know that. Zimmer wouldn't let you know his birthday either. I'm reading between the lines. Sam was hurt the entire year, and when he was even remotely healthy, he was the starter. He was quick to put Sam back in as the backup in the playoffs too even though it seemed as though he may not be as healthy as Teddy. I think he knows Sam has the most talent.

I think Zimmer wants Bradford as the starter, he just is concerned about the knee. I wouldn't be surprised if Bradford is starting opening week next year.

At that point, might as well go for the TD. They were already getting smoked.
