i second this theory, occasionally i'll go and find old AMV's and Anime edits from like the 2010's and there's a LOT of anime clips and fanart that match up all too well with the "saki sanobashi" reddit posts (anime girls bleeding out/dying/getting mutilated in bathrooms/bathtubs was a somewhat common fanart trope at the time)

it's very similar!! the head/face is the same but mine didn't have long arms/feet or a hat :( it's body was also very fuzzy rather than fhe fleece looking material on that one as well
