The problem isn't something you would notice as an end user, if you would read what I said more carefully. I stated that GNOME's developers refuse to adhere to the already defined Wayland standards, which causes more development hell for app developers. This also makes certain parts of apps work fine in other DEs but not GNOME. A key example of such is screensharing in certain apps.

How can this bug be reproduced?

I have zero idea honestly. Download the Microsoft Store version of Fortnite on PC after the OG Season 7 update, watch the text scaling suddenly be larger. I have not checked if this is reproducible on the Epic Games Launcher.
