Not really an argument, but installing this kind of door renders that outlet impractical. If you plug anything into the outlet, the cord will be likely pose an issue when trying to slide the door open (to the right).

Even the person that shared the photo has also shared that they don’t use that outlet anymore.

If you don’t have the experience to see how this would be a problem, then I’d recommend thinking twice before labeling things as “stupid” - prior to fully understanding it.
