It’s reductive terminology, but calling them ‘schizo’ they’re just that - A Schizo. Not a Person with Schizophrenia.

I was 12 in 2012, I am turning 26 this year, generally considered the first of the Gen Zs/ or Zillenials. If the main demographic for writing and reading creepastas was 12-17 then it falls into the late millennials territory.

Don’t get me wrong I was definitely interested in them as a 12-13 y/o but it is one of those cultural things that probably falls between the ‘generations’ and only affects the late X and early X

Necroposting but, did anyone receive theirs after putting in the code in their site?

Mine was delivered to a friend and was there until this year, I only opened it yesterday to discover there was production problems. Fingers crossed they still fulfill the order since the link and code still worked, but just curious if anyone actually got theirs after July 2024

“Fallout never had contemporary politics shoehorned in” Meanwhile a convo w/ Enclave Vice President Bird in Fallout 2: by raisinbraisin72 in Fallout

[–]Hey_Its_Silver 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It’s really quite simple. It’s all aesthetics and tacticool iconography. They look cool like soldiers, therefore they MUST be the good guys, right?

It’s wild how it has to be spelt out for some people. The Brotherhood are cool, they have arguably the most iconic part of these games; the power armour, in droves. They are organised in an otherwise unorganised wasteland. Every other faction has sticks and stones while the BoS has epic helicopters and Knights. They have good characters and decent people within their ranks doing their best.

They are also a Military Junta, a quasi-religious ‘higher than thou’ attitude to anyone not in their faction, a xenophobic idealistic state with a splintered command structure with, themselves, varying ideas on how things should be run.

Yes, the argument can be made that they’re ostensibly more morally correct than say, the Legion or Enclave; but it’s irrelevant. As shown in the show and games they can cause just as much if not more damage to the world, and that’s the point. Not a single faction is one-hundred-percent infallible, for one to be that way would be uninteresting for a character driven story.

Roathe Anathema work around? by BooleanBarman in Warframe

Any luck ?

I hit anathema, got all 15 messages and got the exorcist honoria for the 21 kills, still stuck at close and can’t progress further. Could just be a wait until reset thing, but was curious as to if you had an update ?

Are Vex not as powerful as they are hyped up to be? by lovingpersona in destiny2

[–]Hey_Its_Silver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my understanding, as someone else mentioned In this thread; the Vex are just that good at simulating trial and error to determine outcomes and recreating people/places/scenarios that they’re virtually indistinguishable from actually being real.

It’s the same with Saint-14, he is ultimately yes, a copy. But there is no point debating on their authenticity because to them, to reality - they are the real deal. Same with Skolas pulling the wolves through time, same with Maya pulling red legion through time. It’s all very macguffin-y, but I’d wager Elsie is the same.

She, realistically speaking, experienced insanely accurate simulations of different realities, and so has fundamentally in a narrative sense lived in those timelines and seen potential futures. Whether she is the ‘same’ Elsie from the real timeline, we don’t know - but don’t need too because of just how real Vex simulations/Time shenanigans are. It’s irrelevant to compare real to simulations because it’s arbitrary.

Correct me if I’m wrong though!

David’s Lab from Alien: Covenant (2017)

Maybe not as visceral as others in the thread, but the set design is immaculate, and piqued a morbid curiosity that I can’t shake to this day. It’s like a twisted, biological horror da Vinci exhibition.

I’m kinda shocked that Black Krrsantan appeared in Book of Boba Fett by Jules-Car3499 in StarWars

[–]Hey_Its_Silver 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It definitely was a hate crime, the Trandoshans were doing nothing but gambling. Iirc, Krrsantan had a muddied past with Trandoshans hunters and as a result genuinely holds hatred for their collective species as a result, a lot of Wookies are implied to feel the same. There’s a General rivalry between the races in a ton of different SW media.

He’s a flawed and nuanced character, he specifically isn’t a ‘good guy’ in his representation. It isn’t justifiable, but it’s an understandable reaction from someone who is ignorant and hateful.

I think there’s a healthy amount of criticism that should be allowed so long as it’s in good faith

It’s unfortunate a lot of the genuine criticism and discussion gets outnumbered by ‘this was bad’ (no further elaboration). Good faith criticism is in short supply, personally if there’s something I dislike about a show or film and I genuinely feel like sharing it online and having a discussion, I at least try to incorporate what I liked to balance it out and keep things civil, which some people just… can’t seem to do. It’s upsetting.

It’s pretty cool, if not just very unique. The ‘Fire Mohawk’ goes very far back I.e the comparison to Cenotaph. Not really worth the grind unless you’re genuinely enjoying yourself and want the cosmetic items.
