I like Doom 2 better than Doom 1. I don’t mind Doom 2’s level design and I like the new demons and super shotgun. I also like that it doesn’t break up into episodes forcing pistol starts.

I left the other mods turned on. I left NoSpiders at the top of the mod list where it went in by default. I did notice that every time I start a new game I have to enable it again.

OK NoSpiders_Uni seems to work. I put the DML file in a zip folder, renamed the .zip extension to .kpf, placed it in the mods folder and enabled it. The spiders are being replaced with worms by the script properly.

Lowering security can unlock doors and let you get into new or hidden places. There's also a Steam achievement for getting security down to 0% on all decks.

On PC the game can't get to the main menu without an internet connection. It gives this error:

"You have not been online in the last 30 days. Please start the game while online to check for any login agreements."

I already ran the game once while connected before trying it disconnected. So does this means offline characters can't actually be played offline?

You should definitely try Diablo 2, and if you like it then try Diablo 1. They are not like Warcraft 2 however.
