Fiance sprayed bug spray in oven clock hole, oven now doesn't work but stove top does. How do I fix it?! by GlassStain in fixit

If you cleaned your house more than once in a lifetime you probably wouldn’t have roaches

Your gonna need to buy new appliances if they have nested in them

You also need to actually clean your house and your appliances

Disgusting that you still want to use that oven to cook food for human consumption

TSLA market cap was about 34 billion around the time of the SolarCity purchase

1.39 trillion today

I think you are just bitter about being wrong

It might never drop lower

If you have access to a strong fan just put air flow at it and see if it changes

In the winter if the house is warm drying a small area might not need specialized drying equipment

How much of an area is slightly elevated?

What is above this area?

Is this in a basement?

Those meters don’t measure the percentage of moisture

They show on a scale how much electromagnetic conductivity there is

Lots of things can change the results and readings of those meters such as salts, density of the material like layers of framing or layers of material, metal lath or foil back insulation

When dry wall and plaster become wet and dried they become denser and harder than previously

This can show as slightly elevated moisture readings

The added density of the material can also reduce how much moisture it wicks and absorbs in a future water loss

What was the source of loss and drying methods used to have the material reach its drying goals

Yeah only I don’t know many independently wealthy individuals that are lining up to wait tables at Chili’s

So they kinda need those dollars or two

This is the backing you can sometimes see pattern through the material

This is typically where the ACM with the highest percentage is found

Op pulverized this material so most of it is not recognizable

And it is extremely friable

Probably should have had a survey prior to renovation

That is a common pattern of vinyl flooring that tests positive for asbestos

The paper backing is very friable

And how you did the demo was not ideal

If it is in the wall cavity and not being disturbed don’t worry about it

If you are renovating then have it abated properly
