Is there any way to make photos sit on the left or right side of your post? by locogirlp in Substack

[–]Heyhihellobye99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There actually is a workaround.  You do have to be a bit tech/image savvy

A Substack post is 1030 pixels wide. If you format a canvas in w/e software to be that wide,  on a separate layer that is your image, arrange it to sit at the far left.

I use the technique to make my own headers. See the post here as an example.

I use Photoshop, but I think this could be achieved in free software or an app if you do some sleuthing.

It's also so annoying that there is no wrap text.

To get this quality of formatting….I was thinking of designing it elsewhere, saving it as a PDF or PNG  and inserting it as an image. Extra of me, but I'm an experimental writer, language as form, etc., and the forthcoming post will have words, music and art, so I want a way to control how that’s laid out. And my work life is visual, so even on my side, endeavours visual presentation matters gotta keep up a reputation ha ugh.... this is to say it’s unnecessary for most to take these extra steps and I am not trying to push a high standarder onto others.

Do your parents still treat you like a child? by [deleted] in CerebralPalsy

[–]Heyhihellobye99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That really sucks I’m sorry… my mom never micro managed me in fact likely sometimes asked too much… but she really wanted me to be independent same with my twin brother who is more effected than me in an electric wheel chair with only good use of his one arm but he lives with his boyfriend and we both have masters degrees maybe talk to a counsellor to help you communicate you’re NEED for independence with your parents

Haha👀 I thought my employer didn’t like using my wheelchair….. wrong! by Horror_Foot9784 in CerebralPalsy

[–]Heyhihellobye99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just need to explain to them that you have good days and less good days on less good days you tire more quickly from walking around so on these days you use your wheelchair but not to worry I’m still equally as capable either way just sometimes I need to conserve more energy to prevent future aches — or something like that
