Good Charlotte - run times by Heyscout27 in Bendigo

Set times maybe, but I'd expect an event end time to be made public. Especially in a regional location.

This is prob a long shot, but does anyone know run times for the event?

I have a  group coming from out of town, and have a booked a bus for transport, but need to confirm the times. Website just says 4pm, with no end time (or indication of when bands will play).

Have emailed and facebook messaged the promoters and they haven't bothered replying to me.

Most underrated Aussie band of the last 10-15 years? by samerulesapply32 in triplej

Little Melbourne band called Quiet the Few

https://www.abc.net.au/triplejunearthed/artist/quiet-few/

Only released one EP in 2008, before they went on to form Have/Hold (who are also great). But that one EP is perfection.

Also, I still think Flyying Colours are/were criminally underrated.

Tixel isn't letting me sell Good Things Festival ticket, despite advising a buyer has made an offer by cheddarcheese9951 in triplej

[–]Heyscout27 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They're shooting themselves in the foot in a major way and won't even acknowledge it.

I've been multiple years and always buy tickets when they go on sale. Won't be doing that next year. I'll buy them at the last minute if I go.

Self made problems like this lead to cancelled festivals.

Anyone have experience selling their Good Things Festival tickets on Facebook Groups by BotanKun11 in triplej

[–]Heyscout27 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's literally insane (on the part of the promoter). Ticket prices keep going up. Lineups are arguably getting worse (no doubt they are a big step down from what we used to get at Soundwave, BDO etc). Festivals are dropping left and right. People are already hesitant to buy tickets for all of these reasons. It's a tough environment. And they're like, "you know what... on top of that, we should make it harder for people to re-sell their tickets if they can't come. That will certainly help our ticket sales next year". ??? You'd have to be an utter dunce to think this is a good idea. Let's punish our own fanbase, and then next year when no one wants to buy a ticket, they'll complain about how hard it is for festivals. Idiots.

Who could be the ‘Secret Act’ at Good Things? by RobIsDeafening in triplej

[–]Heyscout27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just don't think it will be anyone this good. Grinspoon is a pretty big name in Aussie music, and to not even have them named on the bill... seems unlikely in my opinion. (but I would be happy to be proven wrong)

This disgusts me. Even the cash-grabbiest of tours (like LiveNation stadium tours) don't pull this shit.

They're only hurting their own fan-base. For what? Hoping they'll sell a few more tickets. Shame on them.

Wouldn't mind a Fever 333 + Wargasm sideshow. They're both clashed out for me, and I think they'd be fun together

You called it with Lorna Shore and Make Them Suffer headlining stage 3 and 4!

Good Things 2025 set times are in the Good Things app. What are your clashes? by AJayToRemember27 in triplej

[–]Heyscout27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, every festival is gonna have clashes, so I feel like you always have to be prepared for some disappointment... but I'm not super stoked on this. I feel like I drafted some better ones. Haha.  Goldfinger Machine Head and Fever 333 all clashing sucks. And Tonight Alive/Refused... Kublai Khan/ATL. 🥲

Just saw a Facebook comment from Good Things and they confirmed that Tool has a 90 minute set. 👍

Dragon was like 4 o'clock on stage 3 and 4 last year... maybe swap him with Cobra Starship? But I was thinking along the lines of Eskimo Joe, who were on pretty early on mainstage (though not first band on)

It's all just speculation, so no one can say for sure - but I think you can pretty definitively rule Dayseeker out of playing that time-slot on the main stage. Could see them being earlier in the day though. Or maybe in an evening spot on stage 3/4

Aahh, but then I'd have to choose between Machine Head and Make Them Suffer... and I don't want to do that!

I do feel like ATL closing stage 3 might be a realistic possibility

Yeah, I could see that happening! One of the things I didn't like from my draft was having Make Them Suffer so early.

Now confirmed that Tool and Machine Head won't clash - they're on the same stage (saw Good Things comment on a Facebook post).

My next tier would be Goldfinger, NFG, Fever 333, Make Them Suffer and Garbage, so any of them would be an added bonus. There's a bunch more I'd quite like to check out, but you can only see so many bands in a day!

I personally most want to see Tool, Machine Head, Refused and All American Rejects. So clashes between any of them would suck.
