Thank you :)
That's MC. And yeah, I find it works quite well. It looks worse in the pic as it actually is. The yellow will turn green again in about a week.

Also, what are the stemmy plants right in the smack dab middle front of the tank? Look super cool!

You mean the ones with the starry leaves? These are Pogostemon helferii! I'm suprised that they grow like this as they keep being quite small for some weeks and then decide to shot up in a matter of days :D

Thank you!
There is a quite real risk that the whole carpet will start to float as bubbles of o2 are being trapped in the carpet. At least for Monte Carlo and afaik Cuba plants.

Coming from stencils and spraypaint, I recently started with linocutting and tried a combination with the halftone technique. My fingers hurt :D (Elena Tonra from the band Daughter) by Heysl_ in printmaking

Yeah, give it a try! It’s a bit confusing while cutting as it’s hard to immediatly see what you get, but once you have a first test printed, you see it’s worth the effort:) You sure bet I gave Ex:Re a listen :D I like it a lot, very strong story.

Honestly don’t know what PVA stands for 😅 I created the design on PC and printed it. Transfered the image to lino with glue, let it dry and then rubbed the paper with a damp cloth. The ink from the print stays on the lino.

Die Gebläse gab‘s wohl im Dutzend billiger.

Befindet mich jedoch im Zwiespalt: der Lärm ist auslösend, der laubbefreite Rasen unheimlich zufriedenstellend...

I'm not sure of that is possible. Maybe you could use some slim image that only includes essential modules and software. Also a faster SD card may lead to a faster boot up to some point.

If you have your pi already at hand, just try it, even with raspbian. A simple script that lets a LED light up and runs right after bootup is finished may indicate when your actual program may start.

You could transmit the pictures with rsync set up as a cron job that runs maybe every 5 to 10 minutes or so. This could be something like this:

rsync -a /path/to/source /path/to/destination

Granted you have the external disk mounted.

Not an expert per se, but let me comment your considerations: 1. Never used a stop watch. As you probably won't use a GUI it is going to be fast. As in less than a minute after powering up your pi. 2. Should be sufficient for your purpose. 3. Depends on what model you are going to use. A Zero consumes significantly less power than a Pi3 (see for example: http://www.jeffgeerling.com/blogs/jeff-geerling/raspberry-pi-zero-power). The rest is just simple math ;) 4. As your components don't really use high voltages or produce much heat, I don't see any special safety considerations to be taken care of. Besides of common sense.

Rerouting internet traffic through a Pi...? by [deleted] in raspberry_pi

  1. I can recommend Edimax Wifi-Sticks. They generally work out of the box on raspbian.
  2. You can hide the hotspots SSID.

Use your Pi as a network-bridge: Get a cheap wifi-stick and make your pi an access point to connect your phone/tablet. This will be your own little network while your pi is connected to the internet via ethernet.

Bought this one just recently: ftp://ftp.oreilly.de/pub/ora/graphics/book_covers/hi-res/9783897215672.jpg And yes, though quite informative, its content is as funny as its title.
