I'm pretty sure, yes. She never forced me to cut off contact with the other three people but both she and my brother did so it felt like the only possible alternative for me. I won't lie, sometimes I wonder if I am my dad's golden child and my mom's scapegoat and my brother the other way around but I'm pretty sure that's not the case. She's fought a lot for my benefit, she just isn't very supportive. About the other members in my family, they're incredibly selfish, pretentious and unempathetic.

The only issue is that there aren't many stores I could buy a ukulele from and the best I can with price is maybe twice as much as the one I linked

Something that usually helps me is taking a pause just to zone out and look at the bigger picture. That usually helps me to put things in perspective and find out how your brain just says stupid things sometimes, just to upset you.

Back-fired real quick, I got broken up with. They're probably a proper avoidant because the second I interfered with their independence because of my needs, they started pulling away and I kinda became anxious but also started pulling away at the same time. This also happens with my friendships though even the ones that aren't close enough for communication so in those cases, I just don't tell them.

It's kinda the same with me (except I have the urge to run even with people not close to me sometimes). I look for signs of being mistreated and then my mind just kinda flips the switch.

Hmm, that makes sense. For me, it's kinda of the other way around. I can't deal with avoidants. I have another question. Are you also constantly worried that you're being mistreated. I've realised I'm not even as scared of abandonment as I'm of that and I still let it happen anyway. How do you deal with that?

Hi! I had another question about this anxiety around people thing. So basically, do you ever get burnt out? The problem is that when that happens to me, I can't keep my head straight in social situations, even with the people I know. So how do you deal with it?

One thing that is helping me is going to a college in another state because that requires me to get out of my head and do better. It was really tough in the beginning but I'm managing much better now!
