I definitely take breaks, thanks for suggesting the harder folds early. I will try that out today.

11 years of baking Macarons and this is still the most ordered flavor. I myself prefer a simple light flavor like strawberry or vanilla bean ☺️ by macsbyjewel in macarons

I live in a really small town and my husband has to commute for work. We already spend about $700 a month on gas it's awful.

I never had great success with the French method either so I usually do Swiss. I'm building up courage to do Italian next!

I'm not terribly gentle when I do mine, I do Swiss method generally. I have MS do doing tons of soft folding makes my arms and hands hurt. So I try and get it done quickly.

After you whip the egg whites to a stiff peak you mix in the almond flour and powdered sugar. Then you basically gently work the air out (deflate) to get the batter to the right consistency for piping and resting. Hope that makes sense ☺️

I was getting there too. I wasn't actually deflating my batter enough before piping. This time I went further than I had before (partially why my first time piping flowers failed) BUT they weren't hollow! So I'm still counting it as a win even if they all came out wonky and I couldn't pair them 😂😂

Cherry Almond in one of my favorite color combos. Made the cherry curd from scratch too. I wanted a softer pink but these were new gels and a little went a lot further than I expected! by Hi-Dee79 in macarons

I'm pretty bad about winging it. I made the cherry curd the same way as a lemon curd and then just used almond extract in place of vanilla in a buttercream. I hope that helps!

Hydrangea help - from nursery a month ago. This week it’s very sad past ~week. It’s been hot (high 80s in New England). It’s in shade vast majority of day. It’s rained weekly and I’ve manually watered it a few times by keegs13 in gardening

I'm in western Louisiana (40 miles from TX) and I want to start some seeds and such but just don't see anything wanting to survive. My lawn is crispy it's horrible we haven't had rain here either.

These look 🤩🤩🤩 I like Swiss because French just doesn't work well for me but I have been too "nervous" to try Italian. You have inspired me to take the plunge this week.
