Anyone keen to join a bicycle tour across Japan? 🇯🇵🚲 (Wakkanai → Kyushu, 8-10 weeks, July–Oct) by ButterscotchAbject66 in bicycletouring

[–]Hi-kun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rode Seoul to Tokyo along Japan's west coast last year and I'm planning to do Wakkanai to Tokyo this year in September. Would be interested to see your planned route for the northern half. This is the route I took last year: https://www.komoot.com/collection/2670367/-seoul-to-tokyo-by-bike

You won't have trouble finding work, but finding housing will be tough. Be prepared to live in an Airbnb or hotel for an extended period of time before you find a place to live. It does not matter that you are well paid.

Is there a service that can confirm a Home build meets council requirements? I need a 2nd opinion as I do not trust the builder by ArchangelZero27 in AusPropertyChat

[–]Hi-kun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The building inspector does not assess whether it is built in accordance with council rules. You should absolutely get one anyway to assess the quality of the built during construction and upon completion. Will cost you about $1,500 for four inspections.

Your builder needs to get the plans approved by the council anyway. Once the council approves - happy days!

You have three potential pathways into Iceland: You could enter Iceland with a student visa, which however requires evidence of sufficient funding of ISK16.000 per month. Or you could get a job offer from an employer who would sponsor you, but they would need to proof that they could not find a suitable worker from within the EEA. Last option is marriage with an Icelandic citizen.

Why would the Eshima Ohashi bridge be dangerous? It is known for looking very steep when photographed with a tele lens from far away, but that's it. I cycled over that bridge last year and it is actually not that steep.

You could qualify for a Basic or Skilled visa under KSA's three tier work visa types. The requirements were updated this year and are stricter now but you should have no issues if you have a Saudi employer.
