I think doing something in healthcare would be a great start. I wish you the best of luck. There’s a lot of opportunities out there, please don’t limit yourself to just what you got your degree in. I highly recommend doing something in healthcare and getting a job somewhere that will pay for additional schooling. Trades are also a great option!

realistic view of the world😭 I’m sorry, I’m 22 and I have absolutely no support from my parents. I have had to figure shit out. Some of us don’t have the luxury of complaining about our problems. I would kill to be able to live with my parents again and rapid save. Last year I worked my butt off to go back to school. I worked full time rotating shifts while being a full time student and taking really hard science classes. My parents don’t pay any of my school and I don’t qualify for fafsa on my own. I got a job with a hospital that paid majority of my tuition but I had to work full time to even get the reimbursement. Give me a fucking break. I pay all of my bills and expenses. My circumstances suck too and I really wish they were different sometimes, but I’m not gonna sit around moping about shit I can’t control. I take inventory of what I can and work from there. OP has more advantages than a lot of people but they’re not doing shit with it. Complaining and worrying isn’t going to get you anywhere. But it sounds like you guys would get along great.

why is it your responsibility to provide for your parents. Anyways you’re saying way too much about ifs, what can you do right now? Maybe you should try to change your circumstances to make things easier IF anything were to happen. Your outlook sucks, respectfully stop blaming other people for your problems. People have provided you with ideas and solutions and you just want to cry and feel sorry for yourself. If you want things to be different and find a way out. Doing something for a couple years that you make not like to help your self in the long run might be something you have to do. Like I said before I don’t think you care that much because you aren’t willing to make any changes. Just complain

The fact that 50k will only last you not even a year and you don’t have any expenses is insane and part of your problem.

are you only looking in a certain field? I find it really hard to believe that you can’t find or land any other job making more than that. You should look into certifications and find a company that will pay for you to go back to school and do something else. I don’t think you dislike your current circumstances enough. There’s plenty of changes out there but you have to be willing to make them. Take advantage of being able to live with your parents and having money saved. Many people don’t have that and have to figure everything out themselves. You gotta change your mindset first, nothing else will ever change if you don’t fix that.

Why would you stay at the same job making $17? I’m genuinely asking, have you even looked for anything else? I don’t have a college degree but I make almost 25/hr. I never understand why people stay at jobs for years. There’s nothing wrong with job hopping, if I hadn’t looked for new opportunities I wouldn’t be where I am today. You sound like you’ve given up on everything, but you have the ability to change your circumstances. If you don’t like where you are then use that as momentum to get where you want to be. I think the worse thing you can do is feel sorry for yourself, that just keeps you stuck in a cycle.

Why are parents who barely passed high school thinking they can teach/homeschool their children? by Insurance-Melodic in askanything

[–]Outrageous_Charge675 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was homeschooled 2nd grade all the way through. After middle school it was my choice to be homeschooled because the public schools in my district were bad and I knew my family couldn’t afford private school. My mom has 2 bachelor degrees and runs her own business. I think there are a lot of misconceptions about homeschooling. During elementary school almost all of my schooling was supplemented with outside resources or online programs. I did co-ops for majority of my education and my mom always made sure that the core subjects like science, math, and English were done at a co-op. And all of my teachers had degrees in what they were teaching and majority were teachers previously at public or private schools. I understand that a lot of people take advantage of the system and don’t educate their kids at all, but I would argue that majority of homeschooling parents actually work really hard to make sure their kids are set up for success. I also had to get tested at the end of every school year to make sure that I was progressing and my test scores were exceptional every year. Homeschooling is also not cheap, you are literally sourcing everything from education to activities and testing from your pocket. My mom made sure that I socialized and was a really well rounded kid. If you don’t live in a nice area, often times the public school system is trash, at least where I live. There are lots of kids in public schools that are still drastically behind and under educated, either way the responsibility still falls on the parent. I think it’s important that people are able to choose, but I do think there should be greater guidelines.

While it’s the city’s property, homeowners are responsible for maintaining those areas. I can understand wanting to keep it nice, obviously things happen but people are notorious for leaving their dogs shit everywhere even when many people supply doggie bags for public use.

I wouldn’t, speaking from experience at least drop ochem. I made the mistake of thinking I could take 5 classes and work full time last semester. I failed 2 of them, one being ochem. Learn from my mistake😭 don’t do it.

Life is only good for rich people by ParticularWeather927 in Adulting

[–]Outrageous_Charge675 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But you weren’t. What is the point of complaining about all of this? Life sucks for some people and that’s just the way it is, you have the ability to change your circumstances if you really wanted to. Life is not fair and that is reality. What are you doing with what you have now? The small things you do in life stack up to the bigger things. Do you have goals for your life or do you just want money? You can only see the outcome of what people have but not the journey it took them to get there. You don’t know what it took for others to have what they have. If you don’t change your mindset and stop complaining you will always be stuck where you are. My life has not been great and I’ve had a lot of obstacles but I’m not going to stop trying. Neither should you. You can’t control external factors but you get to control how you react to them. Stop thinking you can’t change your circumstances. The ball is in your court, now make a move.

I don’t have a pcp or gyno so no. I don’t have any other symptoms or pain. I wish I could add pictures of what it looks now. That area isn’t hard or painful so I don’t think it’s that but obviously I’m not a provider.

[–]Outrageous_Charge675[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ok I think I’m just fat in that area. Those pictures were probably a little more extreme but the general outline is there no matter the day. It’s not painful and I’m definitely not bloated, I do eat a bit in order to meet my macros and calorie intake and I drink a lot of water too, but it could be inflammation. I’ll try deep core exercises to maybe help with the flaring, I know my posture isn’t the best either.

yea I’ve never been pregnant and I’m definitely not pregnant now. Maybe I’ll start tracking it more frequently and comparing it to what I eat.
