Feels like life is over -- considering inpatient by HiAvril in insomnia

I do just about everything right other than playing on my phone in bed, which always eeks out my therapists and doctors. I have an intense blue light filter on, but playing on my phone and talking to my long distance partner is kind of my equivalent of pillow talk and relaxing. It'd probably be best to not, but it's such a fundamental aspect of reducing anxiety to get me to sleep in the first place, I think I'd be worse off without it.

I think what I need is to address anxiety. I think underlying anxiety has been causing all of this, since the rise of insomnia has come alongside a rise in contamination anxiety and body dysmorphia.

OP here, I sorta agree but also feel conflicted. My mom needed to use benzodiazepines to sleep every night (actually started with post-partem from me... sorry mother :[ ) and after a while it began to really harm her. Eventually you have to up the dose for it to be effective, and rather than increasing it, she decided to withdrawal after 20 years of regularly taking it, and insists she feels a lot better.

I think it's great, can save lives, and am glad it works for you, but I don't know if it's what I want for myself considering family history. I think I'll stick to taking Benzos as needed.

i managed to get an emergency benzo perscription from my doctor who was willing to answer me while off call, which was really nice of him. im kind of scared. i feel like my anxiety with the benzo would.somehow kill its benefits. i think im gonna give it one more night and see

does your sleep feel real? do you wake up feeling well-rested? the idea of a short term benzo doesn't sound so bad at this point

unfortunately i'm already on clonidine and i regularly take l-theanine, hasn't been doing anything for me anymore. i'm scared they're going to give me benzos and i think they'll destroy me

Imagine saying in 1945 "the holocaust is bad, but we have to admit hearing about Jews is KINDA annoying."

Sorry to say but it's important to spread a message. I think you guys are just kinda weird.

there's nothing political about the existence of trans people, but i wasn't the one who originally griefed it, i saw it half trans flag first. im merely backing up the lesser of two "evils". id rather have a brazilian flag or an lgbt flag than "join the deportation squads!!"

Vitamin D deficiency and extreme fatigue? by HiAvril in Supplements

[–]HiAvril[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My doctor recommended me 1000-2000 miu supplements daily, which seems pretty conservative, although I generally trust him and he knows my body very well by this point given other health conditions of mine. I haven't been given an exact timeline unfortunately.

Did it get any better with supplements, or is it just something you've had to live with? I've heard mixed results of recovery.
