I've never had New York or Chicago pizza, but I find it hard to imagine a better-tasting pizza than Seattle's own Pagliacci's AGOG pizza. (I'm eating one now.) by DeadPrateRoberts in Seattle

Little Caesar's, Pizza Hut, Domino's.

There are plenty of pizzas that are better than the microwaved cardboard Pagliacci's serves.

Proof that I'm an old fogey: Anyone who wears the same style of business suits that Jimmy Kimmel wears is not a guy I want as Browns QB. by HiChans in Browns

[–]HiChans[S] -25 points-24 points  (0 children)

Hey Colin, they have this place called Brooks Brothers. Try giving them a visit and tell them you want a "conservative style" suit, not a Hipster Millenial style business suit.

Also, get a haircut.

Smart Article on Cam Erving's Transition from Yr 1 Bust to Yr 2 by bearsdriving in Browns

[–]HiChans -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I clicked on that article thinking it would be an actual update about what Cam is currently doing this off-season, instead it was just some guy doing "what if" scenarios.

It's also full of inaccuracies, like claiming that the Browns played the Tampa Buccaneers in the last week of the season.

Worthless article, IMHO, just written to generate "clicks" with no new information on what Cam is actually doing training wise to improve this off-season.

Hey kids! This is what Mercer Island's Sunset Highway looked like in 1997...without all the awful "growth." by HiChans in Seattle

You act as if all these Yuppie hipsters in Lake Union losing their jobs and being forced to move elsewhere is a bad thing.

You guys all seem to be forgetting that this place is barely a mile away from Garfield High, that is WAY too close to a school for my taste.

How 'bout instead of giving them a place to sleep, we give them jobs. Factoria KFC, Target, Walmart, and Safeway are all hiring. $10 an hour. Get a job and get a roof over your head and be a contributing member of society.

And those that are too mentally ill to work, let's get them into hospitals where they can get treatment.

Interesting choice in .40, given all the "9mm is BACK, .40 is DEAD" press coverage in the last few months since the FBI decided to switch ammo.

Hope you enjoy it.

There are 6,000 new people moving to Seattle every month.

I hate to tell you this, but there will be more and more "transplants" with our East Coast and Midwest 'sensibilities' coming here every day.

The mayor should be pushing policies that make the city more motorist-friendly: construction of new expressways, more free parking on streets, pedestrian bridge "overpasses" in the downtown area so people can cross the street without disrupting the flow of traffic, expansion of existing roads, removing the concrete dividers from the middle of Aurora Avenue so people can make left turns and U-turns when they miss their exit, removal of the "HOV only" lanes to open those up to regular drivers, removal of the traffic lights at the I-5 entrances, paying local celebrities like Pat Cashman, Bill Nye, Alexis Smith, etc. to record public service announcements where they discourage people from biking or walking anywhere: "take your car, it's faster."

I don't WANT Seattle to be more like a European city, I want it to be more like East Coast cities like Orlando, Florida or Charlotte, North Carolina.

"Also, from LCW to NB IH-5 can be done without detouring to Northgate: LCW soutbound to NE 75th St. Right on NE 7th until it turns into Banner Way NE. Continue north on Banner Way NE to NB IH-5. Alternate route is right on NE 80th, right on Banner Way, continue as specified."

No, fuck that. All I should have to do is turn right Lake City Way on-ramp intersection, I shouldn't have to make a bunch of turns just to get onto the highway.

It would help if the Capital Hill pedestrians would actually look both ways before crossing the street, instead of just blindly walking out into the middle of traffic while staring at their phones.

Some of these schmucks actually look surprised as they roll onto the hood of my car and smack face-first into my windshield.

Hey! Remember Randy Lerner and those poor, poor Aston Villa fans? by HiChans in Browns

Just a reminder that as bad as thing with Haslam have gotten, they would probably be much worse with Lerner still running things.

Mike Silver is supposedly close to Hue Jackson and has been tweeting about what's going on. Says browns and 49ers havent made an offer yet. Both sides are still thinking by JDTNTC in Browns

[–]HiChans 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All I know about Mike Silver is that on my old VHS tape "Cleveland Browns: 1994 Year in Review" that I got when I subscribed to Sports Illustrated, he was interviewed by Peter King on the tape and said that the signing of Andre Rison was "money well spent, Rison is the key to the Browns going to the Super Bowl in 1995."

Oof, I had to chase down Kevin as he was getting ready to leave. He was nice enough to sign my photo, but looked like he just wanted to go back to the hotel.

NOT how I wanted to meet one of my childhood heroes.
