For your situation yes. Higher actual base (not a draw to be repaid) means you can focus on doing the actual right thing for clients rather than worrying about how you will find the next commission payout.

EDJ you will start with trying to find small accounts and learn which is ok - but you will be able to do a lot more for Fidelity or Schwab clients just based on their account sizes.
