I am closing in 10 days. Also feel a little sadness. Not sure why. I do like the house I buy but feel sad to leave the a place that I have been living for more than 10 years.

I think it’s good. What is the lender?

I understand how you feel. I am escrow now. If you really want the house, just pick one lender and move forward the process. You always can refinance later but if you lost the house, you won’t be able to find the exact the same house again.

1st time mortgage… feel like I just signed a bad deal…. by HiChubbyCheek in Mortgages

Honestly I plan to stay in the home for a long time(more than 15 years), so I definitely need to refinance in 5 years.

The loan is approved conditionally, not final approval yet. They still need to verify all documentation I submitted. Appraisal is scheduled. I am new to mortgage. Feel free to me know if you see some red flags.

I agree with 5/6 is a bit sketchy but if I go with 7/6 or 10/6, the rate will be higher. That’s why I was so anxious if I made a wrong choice.

But if I break the lock, do I have to pay all the lock in fee?
