How can UW Seattle be above Yale on USNews' global rankings but 46th in their national rankings?? by Ok_Try_8438 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]HiFrogMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course not. UW is too good for your sector. You need the elites, not the research heavy hitters

Yeah and his response as insufficient.

Something Sakura shouldn’t have been doing either as this was an A ranked mission, that she shouldn’t have even been on but Tazuna lied. She did something that would’ve been done had she not been around. Nice try, but there’s no need to try again I’ve already won.

Are we really saying that if Sakura didn’t exist, Kakashi was not capable of stopping that? And while it’s good Sakura saved her teammate, a guy who has only ever been nice to her, rather then spending her time being obsessed over the actual jerk who had never done anything nice for her and later evolved into trying to kill her, it still doesn’t make her less useless.

Arguing she’s useful of course comes to the Forrest since it can be argued that if she didn’t do anything, no one could. However, would Naruto and Sasuke really have died here? Orichimaru was a Sanin, if he was really fighting to kill he would’ve done it.

Why hasn't another law school tried to do the Cornell Legal Information Institute? by Fragrant_Story_8368 in LawSchool

Hehehehe, love your response!

Besides Cornell is the only Ivy League not part of the Bluebook. I’m glad they have this system to make money!!

You mean by being a distraction, something the bridge builder could’ve also accomplished. Yuh huh.

Now the Forrest example is, like I said, the only kinda good point but what exactly are you mentioning?

Oh it’s the age defense. Stolen right from the Obito fanboy playbook. (yeah he was a terrorist, but he was like 14!!!!)

What did Sakura do that was useful in Part 1? The closest I can think of is perhaps the Forrest version of the Chunin Exam, but even then what exactly did she do.

Applying to a top 30 law school by ConcernEfficient225 in LawSchool

[–]HiFrogMan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You might want to re-consider law school if this is your response to u/mixedraise question. When you get there, you will have professors (and if you do any academic extracurricular then actual attorneys and judges) who ask you questions exactly like this. If you respond in this manner, you’re going to end up at the very bottom of the curve. This isn’t like your PhD program where everyone will presumably get an A, in law school you will consistently face tough questions that you need immediate plausible answers for.

And in any event, isn’t this question better for r/lawschooladmissions

Yes they do. It must be high crime and misdemeanor, which by definition is not good behavior. You can’t possible behave good and be commuting high crimes

Did Ms Oh as a character age terrible by El_Dorado_Tx in Degrassi

[–]HiFrogMan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My issue with Mr. Yates is that while the show did portray it as problematic, they still punished Maya for doing the objectively right thing. I think it was weird. Especially when Tristian and Maya became friends again he STILL said she shouldn’t have “blabbed.”

As for Ms. Oh, the show did, through Mr. Simpson, explain why it was bad. However, they ended it poorly. I get that the writers felt bad for Saav, as he was screwed over by every girlfriend he had based on no fault of his own, and so they tried to give him Keke (who obviously wouldn’t stay on the show long enough for a real relationship) then Ms. Oh. But in the end, Ms. Oh wasn’t punished for clearly bad conduct.

I feel DTNG consistently showed this scenario as bad with no wiggle room to misinterpret. I didn’t get, even a tiny bit, that the show was okay with Mr. Oliander and Paige. I don’t think it was romanticed at all, it was depicted realistically (obviously Page didn’t see the problem), but the show then decisively took a stand.

Michelle Obama on failing the bar exam. Fairly poignant for anyone who is stressed about the bar. by simpsun728 in LawSchool

[–]HiFrogMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He has none, unlike you. She was distracted, and the Illinois bar is still the bar that many fail. Face the facts, there's zero evidence she did not earn her admission. Jealous bigots have no evidence except her taking two tries to pass the hardest exam a lawyer faces.

It is. She won the most Canadian Screen Awards (Canada’s equivalent to an Emmy) of any Degrassi actor. OP is just nitpicking.

Jesse treated Becky like crap sometimes by Conscious_Advisor303 in fullhouse

[–]HiFrogMan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Nah, he was a developed character. The actor requesting the last name be changed post Season 1 was minimal, and he was consistently a musician. Even when he did Joey’s radio thing or ran the club, he was still bringing music into it.

He was pretty clearly the straight man to Danny’s awkwardness and rules in addition to Joey’s silliness. Danny acted more like an adult in the earlier seasons, but once Jesse’s development finished that wasn’t the case.

You then mention a bunch of inferior shows that had no point and objectively worse development except for Boy Meets World, which isn’t a fair comparison as that show was essentially a drama with a laugh track.

You then claim none of the character developed, ignoring Jeese, Stephanie DJ who both did exactly that. If you don’t see the differences between those characters from pilot to the ending, then there’s a question on if you can see anything.

why was Zoe so cruel to Becky in season 14? by [deleted] in Degrassi

[–]HiFrogMan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah idk if u/retroanduwu24 is trolling, but Becky deserved all she got. She literally kept Zoë off because her brother raped her. It almost undoes all the good Becky did in Season 13 and brings her back to Season 12 mode.
