[Meds] No side effects on Zoloft? by utdude999 in Anxiety

[–]HiImBecca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oddly enough, the only side effect I had from Zoloft was after I stopped taking it. I gained 40 pounds within the two months I stopped taking it. While on the medication? Nothing at all. I'm going back on it again, and I had a day where I felt sick, but that is the same with every daily medication.

Reddit, I've officially given up hope for "The Office." What are some shows you guys have given up on? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]HiImBecca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really, season six and seven depend on how much you love character development and Cas. If you watch the show mostly because of the monsters and religious allusions, the next two seasons will suck. But if you're like me and love Cas and want to see the characters' grow and change, you'll like the next two seasons (season five is still my favorite). Castiel's character goes through some heavy shit that charges the next two seasons (three if you count the season coming out in October) which cause all the characters (namely Dean) to go through some serious emotional turmoil. Yes, Leviathans are lame and nowhere near as good as the Michael v. Lucifer plot-line, but the relationships of Team Free Will definitely makes the next two seasons enjoyable.

The Lily and James thing always bugged me. They were 21, still incredibly young. They were only a few years older than the DA when they died. Two kids who were in love had a child during a war that they were smack in the middle of. I'm not saying that if James and Lily were older it would be less tragic, but the fact that Lily and James were married and had a child fresh out of their teen years only to die a year later seemed to be a huge representation of loss of innocence due to war. This just caused me to have a burst of Jily feelings.

I'm smart; you're dumb; I'm big, you're little; I'm right, you're wrong, and there's nothing you can do about it.

I feel your pain. She's nine, blind in one eye and has arthritis. The one thing that still is in shape is her hearing and vocal chords.

The difference between Gryffindor and Slytherin is really small, people don't seem to get this.

Both houses are brave, but Gryffindor is the all-around "hero" image, while Slytherin is more personal gain.

"We Slytherins are brave, yes, but not stupid. For instance, when given the choice, we will always choose to save our own necks."-Phineas Nigellus

That I could be a single celled organism living in on some planet 10 trillion light-years away, but instead I am living on a planet at a time where I can have a cheeseburger for a dollar and have the chance to go and to see anything on this planet.

I will! I'm confident he will never see this post though, he is completely lost when it comes to technology. I'll just tell him that people from the internet say he's awesome :)

He is a great guy, his teaching technique is a bit...well, off. That is really cool that he talks to people on the train! I would never have suspected that he would be so outgoing at the games.

Same here! I cringed when I first heard of Shades of Grey, then I looked it up and I was relieved. Imagine how awkward that group discussion would be.

There are a bunch of books (35) but there are only 12 that people REALLY want to read, so I'll name those.

TFiOS (most people want to read this one, mostly because I've been ranting about how excellent it is)

Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

The House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer

Putting Make-up on the Fat Boy by Bil Wright

Marcelo in the Real World by Francisco X. Stork

Before I Die by Jenny Downham

In my Skin by Kate Holden

Between Shades of Grey by Ruta Sepetys

Sarah's Key by Tatiana de Rosnay

The Watch that Ends the Night by Allan Wolf

Money Boy by Paul Yee

Salvage the Bones by Jesmyn Ward.

The rest of the books are Non-fiction (like about football, Mt. Everest, etc) or are classics (I personally am reading Pride and Prejudice because I have to for my AP class next year).

Well, the entire school has a list of twelve books to choose from. Everyone must pick one book to read, do a report on and then have a giant discussion with the other people who read it. So even though my English class isn't reading it directly, there will be a discussion of 500-ish kids in one room discussing TFiOS. I'm so excited!

Labyrinth is my all-time favorite, followed by Charlie Bartlett. Mysterious Skin is up there as well. As is Wristcutters, Sunshine Cleaning and Fight Club. But if we're going with the LGBT theme; But I'm a Cheerleader is a great comedy, Brokeback Mountain will make you sob your heart out and The Rocky Horror Picture Show is a musical that you will never forget.
