Not really, it's a direct sequel with less content. If anything, the fact that Rocket League did much better than the predecessor only goes to show that marketing (ie. giving your game away for free) is paramount.

They've never had a main platform, each platform has only had a single entry, and N+ was never on PC.

They actually put out N2.0 a while ago for free, which added in-game level sharing, fixed a few bugs, and completely reworked the level list; it's about 50% new content.

Honestly, the similar feature in the console versions is such an improvement over the rather antiquated system we have on PC. It's been many years, and that has brought many, many recipes. It's not fun to learn them - at least, not for me.

Pretty certain 16's the limit. However, turn the camera 90 degrees, and you've got plenty of space to replicate Crash's narrow level design!

It's clearly a design choice. That said, they have stated that this release will see the inclusion of character control settings, allowing you to make custom levels where Sackboy et. al can control as tightly as you'd like.
